The News
Have you ever got news that shook you to your core, paralyzed you with anxiety, questioned your faith and inquire about your trust in GOD? In real time I'm there. External I'm calm... internally my stomach is flipping, my nervous system is in overload... I'm asking Daddy to take me off the strong solider list NOW!!! But in the midst I'm reminded of two scriptures one I spoke the last time I got news that had me here. Philippians 4:6-9 MSG [6-7] Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.[8-9] Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies. The other one is new: Psalms 143:8 ERV [8] Show me your faithful love this morning.I trust in you.Show me what I should do.I put my life in your hands! I realize The News always come in the midst of me praying dangerous prayers and when elevation is at hand. Why I'm sharing this. If the enemy's job is to steal, kill, and destroy... what better way to do it in the midst of THE NEWS. The News is always louder than GOD'S voice. It doesn't just overtake your mind, it invades your heart and nervous system... see slow destruction... through loud distractions (come through Holy Spirit for the realtime revelation 😭🙌🏾)! So as you navigate THE NEWS remember the goal... Trust GOD..it's a fixed fight... Take a breath, don't lean into the dis ( distracted, discourage, disconnected, or discombobulated) This will not end the way you think, no matter how uncomfortable the process to victory may be!

Fight Back
Not sure who this message is for but you need to know you’re not alone. Not the cliché which is often stated loosely, I’m talking about mentally, physically, and spiritually. We have so many resources that we came equipped with and those which were created through lived experiences of others. Don’t be afraid to use them all. Pray and reach out to others who fight back. “For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of an unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in heavenly places” Ephesians 6:12 With Love, Ed P

Good morning, West Coast time, This will be my first post. I appreciate Tawaka's invitation to join the group. My name is Walter Villavicencio, and I am enjoying my 2nd chapter in life, retired, a parent of 3 good human beings, grown children, and on a journey of continued personal evolution. I am a baptized Catholic who is on pause from physically attending a regular Sunday service. I am spiritual, believe in God, the Trinity, a higher power, and respectful of all religions. I am currently disappointed with the Catholic Church for protecting the priests who have abused innocent children, and in general, the powerful, who have used religion to manipulate people or eliminate entire civilizations. I will return to organized religion at some point in my life. I continue to do my part in following and truly believing in the spirit of the word, "Treating people, like people." " Be kind to your neighbor." " Stay curious about others and not judgmental." " Speak up for those who cannot." We are in a challenging time here in the USA and abroad. The only control I have is to do my part in following the spirit of the word. Thank you again. Stay well to all.

Yesterday I spent a little time on social media just reading. I wasn’t even posting, just paying attention. What stood out to me wasn’t the loud posts. It was the quiet ones. I saw some really deep comments. Honest, emotional, even spiritual. The kind of stuff that makes you stop and think. And they just sat there… no reactions, no replies. It made me think about two different ideas. One says speak like you’re trying to reach at least one person. The other says know your audience and be careful where you place your words. So which one do you lean toward? Do you speak because it needs to be said, even if nobody responds? Or do you move more intentional about where your words are received? I’m still thinking on it. What do you think?
