Good morning, West Coast time,
This will be my first post. I appreciate Tawaka's invitation to join the group. My name is Walter Villavicencio, and I am enjoying my 2nd chapter in life, retired, a parent of 3 good human beings, grown children, and on a journey of continued personal evolution. I am a baptized Catholic who is on pause from physically attending a regular Sunday service. I am spiritual, believe in God, the Trinity, a higher power, and respectful of all religions. I am currently disappointed with the Catholic Church for protecting the priests who have abused innocent children, and in general, the powerful, who have used religion to manipulate people or eliminate entire civilizations.
I will return to organized religion at some point in my life. I continue to do my part in following and truly believing in the spirit of the word, "Treating people, like people." " Be kind to your neighbor." " Stay curious about others and not judgmental." " Speak up for those who cannot."
We are in a challenging time here in the USA and abroad. The only control I have is to do my part in following the spirit of the word.
