Can we talk about live presentation?
I will be giving a live presentation to a cold audience next month. So they don't know me and I'm wondering if anyone has been to a healing conference that is fairly big and what did you remember most about your favorite speaker? I plan to do a workshop type format similar to breathwork or hypnosis demonstrations but a little different than both of those. I don't want to spend too much time talking about my background. If you were in the audience would care more about the topic or why the speaker is there? thanks

@Elfina Luk I was thinking about demonstrating on some volunteers but then also was thinking of doing a group participation demonstration. only have 45 but might be able to do both.
So I tried making perfect videos with a 90 hour work week...
Hello Camera Confidence Crew. As you know, I was working on a VSL that I launched a few days back. But then I let the Idea of creating another video sit in my head for too long due to a lot of schedule fluctuations. Shame, and then overthinking, so now I have decided to drop the requirement of making edited long videos and decided to go with short but Authentic check-ins. To build my camera confidence, here is today's. For those who have not started yet, why not join me in starting smaller🙂

@Andre Valdes great video and visual description of how the perfection mindset works!
How to Create a Skool Waitlist + Automation Workflow
This one’s for those of you showing up on camera while also building your community — coaching, creating, launching, experimenting… sometimes all at once. I know what that feels like. You're not just delivering content — you’re also figuring out the backend systems, trying to grow your audience, and still finding the courage to be visible. And sometimes? You just need a system that keeps moving when you can’t. I recorded a quick behind-the-scenes video showing how I use Skool to: - Build a waitlist that keeps momentum going even when I’m off-grid - Use a flash-launch strategy that doesn’t burn me out - Set up simple automations to follow up and nurture without being stuck to my screen 📺 Watch it here. Lately I’ve been saying it feels like I’m building a vehicle — testing the parts, syncing the system… and finally driving it. (Let’s be honest, I’m basically building a Lambo. 😂) Jokes aside, I love automation. And if you’re also balancing content creation, coaching, and community growth — this little workflow might help you while you're building your vehicle of choice. ~ Elfina 💖

🎥 What I Use to Film Everything (Gear Breakdown)
Over time, I tested a lot of equipment. Some worked well but wasn’t portable. Some sounded great but made editing complicated. Some broke way too fast. And some looked amazing... until I actually tried to use them. This is the gear I keep coming back to — not because it’s the most expensive or flashy, but because it’s reliable, easy to use, and delivers what I need whether I’m filming indoors, outside, or on Zoom. I’ve taken this kit on the road, used it for client projects, community workshops, content filming, and everything in between. I hope this helps you cut through the noise and feel more confident about your setup — because once the tech feels solid, showing up becomes so much easier. 🎙 AUDIO - Shure MV7 - This i the best podcast-style mic I’ve used. You plug it directly into your computer with a USB-C cable, and when you’re recording in Zoom, Loom, or other programs, you can select it as the audio input — which means it records in the same track as your video. You don’t need to export or sync anything later. It’s great for meetings, podcasts, and general indoor use. - DJI Mic - This is my favorite mic for quality recording. I use it when I’m filming content and need crisp, clean audio. I love that you can clip it on or hold it like a mini interviewer mic. It comes with a wind sock, which cuts out external noise and makes it great for outdoors. But — it records as a separate track, so you’ll have to export the file and sync it later. Sometimes I use both the DJI and the Shure to have two audio sources, but that’s more advanced. It’s definitely more of a pro-level mic and great if you’re comfortable doing a bit more post-production. - Hollyland LARK M2 - I haven’t used this one personally yet, but it came highly recommended by a beloved community member who knows their gear. (Thank you @Yukta Kandhari!) It’s more affordable than the DJI, and known for being super plug-and-play friendly. It’s ultra lightweight, has built-in noise cancellation, and works well with phones and cameras. If you want a simple, wireless mic setup without the post-syncing step, this could be a great option to explore.

🎥 VIDEO FEEDBACK INSIGHT – LIGHTING, FRAMING & ASMR AUDIO TIPS
I want to share some coaching insights from a recent on-demand video review, in case it helps some of you refine your filming setup — especially those creating wellness content, meditation, or ASMR-style videos. These are small adjustments, but they can make a big difference in how your audience feels while watching or listening. Here are a few suggestions that came up: 📸 Framing & Headroom If the camera is too close or there’s too much empty space above your head, we start to lose the energy of your body — and with that, some of the presence you’re bringing. A simple zoom out, showing your chest and keeping your eyes around the top third of the screen, helps the viewer feel more connected to you. It gives your presence more room to land. ☀️ Lighting Fix (Fastest Win) If you have a window in your space, try turning your setup so you're facing it. Let the natural light hit your face instead of coming from behind or the side. This alone can completely shift the vibe of your video — making your skin tone look more even, reducing shadows, and bringing a soft, calming energy without needing extra gear. Tip: Backlighting (light behind you) can wash you out or create contrast issues unless you’re using it on purpose for a stylistic effect. 🎙️ ASMR Voice Tip ASMR doesn't have to mean whispering. In fact, long-term whispering can actually strain or harm your vocal cords over time — especially if you're filming frequently. Instead, try a stage whisper approach: stay close to the mic, lower your tone, and soften your delivery without cutting off your breath or vocal support. That intimate “in your head” feeling comes more from proximity and tone than actual volume. Mic Tip: The Blue Yeti is a great beginner-friendly option with clear audio and adjustable patterns — ideal for calm, focused delivery. 👁️ Camera Angle Eyeline makes a difference. Keep your camera just slightly above your natural eye level so you’re not looking down at it. This softens your features, avoids shadows under the eyes, and invites a sense of openness.

@Elfina Luk I made some adjustments to the area of my home to incorporate some of your suggestions with spacing and lighting. Let me know what you think of this set up compared to what I had sent for the video review: https://www.loom.com/share/b41c204031734b1184a67fe818a9ae31?sid=429a8ad8-de10-4a94-b49a-6557f32a48b5

@Elfina Luk afternoon, sun coming in that window to the left of me. The light box I have is a emart. I think that was as high as it goes. was the background distancing better?
