The Messy Middle… and a New Video Idea Is Blooming 🌸🎥
Hi everyone 🌿💫 Today I’ve been sitting with something exciting and a little vulnerable that I want to share with you. When I joined this group, I knew my goal was to get more comfortable showing up in video and sharing my voice. It’s been a journey of stretching myself, as I’ve often gone out of my way to stay hidden and not be seen. But I’ve been working hard on facing some limiting beliefs and something clicked for me this week… I was inspired by a convo I had with Lisa Ann to practice taking videos while doing my garden work and I was out in my very imperfect, very messy garden (think overgrown areas, tools everywhere, unfinished garden house 🤭) and I realized—this messy middle is the perfect reflection of my personal growth and transformation journey. And I thought, "Ohh, wow! This could be much more than practice!" 💡 The idea was born: I’m going to start documenting my garden work as part of my video content. Not in a “perfect influencer garden” way, but in a real, evolving, soulful journey kind of way. The “before and becoming.” The “this is where I am now” honesty. The metaphor for how life and healing rarely look perfect while they’re in progress. I plan to use the footage for: 🎥 B-roll for my upcoming YouTube channel 🎥 My very first channel welcome video 🎥 Possibly even workshop visuals in the future I haven’t shared this anywhere else yet, so you’re the first to know! It feels really aligned with what I came here to learn: get comfortable being seen… even when things are messy and not yet finished. ✨ I’m reminding myself: Progress, not perfection. Presence over polish. Thank you Elfina for holding space for all of us and for the inspiration I’ve received watching all of you step up and share. 💖 If you have any tips for capturing outdoor or process-style video footage, I’d love your wisdom! Or… just cheer me on as I officially step into my “messy middle era” 🎥🌱✨ ~Tina 💜
