Vaughn's December Challenge Tracker
This is the kick in the pants I needed to start being consistent on Linkedin. I'm excited to see what things will look like on the other side. Dec. 2 - Today's Post - 10 Comments (I shouldn't have left this for the end of the day.)

New to the Group and Need a Little Advice
I am curious how this group approaches "creation" work versus day job work and use of LinkedIn. Does everyone only post and develop specific to one (day job vs content communities) or the other? I have the idea, the process I'm developing, etc., but struggling with if I post on one profile or if best if I create a "business / name" profile and post from there directly. I'm interested how this group has broached the topic?

It makes sense to diversify the post on your current profile. I'm starting to see that people appreciate getting to know me more holistically. The other thing is that not everyone sees all of your posts.
This community has has changed my perception, here’s why👇
It’s been an eye-opening few weeks for me. After joining this community, I’ve had a long look at how I’m building my business/brand, and it’s become clear that I’ve been going about it wrong this whole time. You see, because I’ve been in the marketing space for the last 5 years (and a Project Manager for like 10 years before that), I thought I had to build my brand as a "Marketer" or "Sales Expert." The thing is, it never really felt like me. But in the last few weeks, after speaking to a few people (experts in their industry with over 10+ years of experience), I realised something: A whole lot of people in my age bracket (35-45) are really struggling with positioning themselves as an authority. And here I am with all this knowledge, tools, and experience (both successes and failures), not helping my peers. So I’ve come to realise that instead of building my brand as just another marketing expert, I’m better off using my skills to actually help the folks who need it. 2026 and onward is going to be all about helping experts and consultants get that authority they need to survive in this new job market or of they decide to build a side hustle. Happy Holidays everyone 🚀🚀

Yes! I've had the same realization. I underestimated how much others would benefit from my years in sales & leadership.
Questions
- Is there any way I can see how many comments I made each day? - Is there any way I can see how much I have commented each day from Dec 1 to Dec 6?

The Spark I Needed!
The main reason I joined this community is because I am transitioning from a career in cybersecurity sales to building my own email marketing business. Most of my LinkedIn network is still from my cybersecurity world, not my target audience. Because of that, I hesitated to post about my new direction. I was worried about how it would be perceived. The fear is still there, but I posted anyway. Nine days into this December challenge, I'm starting to see some traction. Nothing huge, but more impressions, comments, and reshares than I am used to. Then today, something unexpected happened. A former coworker called me just to say my recent LinkedIn posts have been phenomenal. He told me how impressed he's been, asked about my business, and offered to help. He was one of the people I worried most about. That encouragement meant more than I realized. No prospects yet. But knowing people are paying attention is the lighter fluid I needed to keep going. Thanks for the platform, training and coaching @Alex Colhoun
