Restarting challenge
Completed 7 day challenge but restarting again, as each day I have learnt something which makes me think 'I didn't appreciate that fully on that day'. In short I am learning and my practice will always be in the form of going around in circle. Enjoying each dip into the classroom and excited to continue

Modern life puts us into an object frame of reference, we are a process and all processes cycle, circles have no beginning or end!🙏☸️☯️☺️

🌿 7-Day Challenge Accountability Thread
Hey everyone, whether you’re starting fresh because you just arrived or you’re restarting like me to re-establish your practice, this is our spot. The 7-day challenge always feels more grounding when we move together, so this post will stay pinned for our daily check-ins. Let’s show up, keep it simple, and take it one day at a time. ✅ How to Check In Each Day After you finish your practice, follow these three steps: 1. State which day of the challenge you’re on. Example: Day 1, Day 3, Day 7, etc. 2. How you felt before and after. One short sentence for each. 3. Screenshot or photo: A quick picture of your screen, TV, or you practicing. Feel free to leave encouragement for others. A little support goes a long way. ✨ Sample Check-In 1. Day: 1 2. Before: Feeling tight 3. After: Calm and relaxed 4. (Photo attached)

Just did Day 5, and some of day 4 theory, love the silk reeling. I'll take a pic tomorrow before practice. I'm planning on getting a mat with a Taijitu on it soon, and a punch bag, if anyone has any recommendations?☯️feeling so much more grounded because of the practice 🙏☺️

@Jayda Jeon it often increases my body temperature. Meditation can sometimes make me feel cold once I get up and walk around. Interesting, I'll try and watch out for it more, thanks 🙏
“Stand tall like a mountain, flow like a great river and learn to play with gravity.”
The first part of this statement is a classical saying associated with Tai Ji while the addition of “learn to play with gravity” is something my teacher in Beijing, Zhang Wei Dong, would add. He never said whether it was his own or something he heard from somewhere else, but to me it always fit perfectly with the classical phrase. Does this statement resonate or inspire you? Does it make you think of any particular part of your practice? I will get started first below in the comments!

I've been watching how my weight moves when I walk, or even just stand. Drawing attention to the crown when I was trying your mini form before I started the course was really good at helping me see how I had come to carry myself from past negative experiences. It was really liberating, thank you ☺️🙏☯️I've come to see the world as a flow and everything as a dynamic equilibrium. There are so many distractions and arbitrary triggers in today's world, I have found it pays to value quality through feeling my environment and not be governed too much by anxiety or imagined stimuli, like my inner critic. They are much quieter now anyhow and less critical too (less full of crap 🤣), it really is like a balanced wheel turning ☸️
Silk Reeling is so sic
It reminds me of the calligraphy practice from Buddha Fist (I think it was that film). I'm guessing it's good practice to loosen up the wrist for sword play too? 🙏☺️☯️

Hello, I'm Paddy from Manchester in the UK. I started doing mediation and kung fu when I was 21, but I feel off for a good few years. I really like Sifu's philosophy and seeing as I've started studying dynamic equilibrium with Steve Keen on here, I thought this would be a great way to return (fu) to practice ☯️

@Joshua Harris I really like Sifu's philosophy, I'm actually studying dynamic equilibrium tight now, so it fits perfectly with my life ☯️☺️
