My first $500 (Very unconventional)
I wanted to share my first win because it’s a bit different. I had a deal under contract, but the seller was stuck in a messy probate. He was struggling, so I ended up lending him about $1500 over time to help with his expenses. Everyone told me I was being scammed and that I’d never see that money again. I had my doubts at times too. But I did trust the guy, and he was in a bad spot. Today, he paid me back $2000. He decided to back out of the house deal for now, but we’re still talking. Even though it wasn't an assignment fee, I made a $500 profit. It probably wasn’t worth it considering the time and stress, lol. I am glad I could help someone out though. I wouldn’t say lend money to random people. But keep grinding, trust your gut, and focus on the person, not just the property. Let’s hope for a 100x bigger profit on the next deal!
