Antonio's last video.
So I just saw Antonio's last video, and it got me thinking. If I had to downsize to 10 bottles what would they be. I'm curious what are your thoughts on this and what bottles would you keep? Here are my 10: 1. Masculin Pluriel - Maison Francis Kurkdjian 2. Royal Oud - Creed 3. Naxos - Xerjoff 4. Sartorial - Penhaligon 5. Herod - Parfums de Marly 6. Silver Mountain Water - Creed 7. Polo 67 - Ralph Lauren 8. Venetian Blue - The Merchant of Venice 9. Meraki Bliss - Patek Maison 10. 1723 - Superz. https://youtu.be/2Y_ZqorggsA?si=Vcx6z8vk21dDMs1p

How does it smell on others?
Question 🙋‍♂️ I’m always wondering how my fragrance smells on others, I always feel that it’s a ok scent on me and on others it’s oh damn you smell so good. I’m wondering if some of it has to do with the fact you can’t always smell yourself bec of nose fatigue and because you want what you don’t have 😝 but at the same time the same fragrance smells completely different on someone else. So question is do you feel this way or any other thoughts on this topic?

@Raymond Reeves I know that’s what I feel especially with the fragrances that change over time

🚨New Pickups🚨
I went shopping with my Mom and visited a fairly new store called Max’s Department Store, with several stores in Puerto Rico already. It’s not the first time I visited one of their stores, but the first time I see Middle Eastern fragrances there. The had a sale so I got this ones: - Lattafa: Fakhar Platin - $25.50 (A YSL Y Elixir alternative /twist) - Emper/Le Chameau: Arabia Code (An alternative to Armani Code Parfum) - $ 21.25 Both smelled great out of the paper strips, reviews coming soon.

Nice! How’s the guava note?
Synthetic. What does it mean?!?!?
Gentlemen and Lady, I’m embarrassed to bring this up, especially since I’ve been in this hobby now for about six months, but I am completely lost when anyone uses the term “synthetic” describing fragrances. Especially from reviewers on YouTube and when it is brought up sometimes in here. From my understanding, I thought that synthetic had to deal with the smell. Something like artificial, chemical, cheap, along the lines of an unnatural scent, plastic like, shoeshine, wood polish. But then I’ve seen some people use it in terms of poor execution and low quality formulation. I’ve also seen it to mean it is the opposite of “natural” ingredients. Like using real rose extract vs synthetic rose made in a lab (enter any ingredient here actually). I understand the use of synthetic ingredients here for ethical and lack of resources reasoning. I’ve seen it use to describe overuse or poor blending like too much ISO E super to make it smell like a barber shop. Too much alcohol blast in the opening. Skin chemistry mismatch. Cheap vs bad use. Or overall just lacking depth. If you all could clarify it for me it would be much appreciated. Thank you. 🙏

Synthetics is usually used as poor blending and done cheaply as almost every single fragrance you’ll find will have some synthetics it’s just a matter of how smooth it is. Even a fragrance with real oud will usually also have synthetics
Overrated!
Overrated 👏👏!! Overrated 👏👏!! Hey good people! Let’s stir the pot a little (in a friendly way, of course). We all have that one scent everyone hypes up but when you tried it…meh. Question: Which fragrance do you think is the most overrated right now, niche or designer, and why?Is it the hype? The performance? The price? The “DNA déjà vu”? Drop the name. Tell us why it didn’t work for you. Bonus points if you share what you’d recommend instead. My picks: 1️⃣ Ex Nihilo – Blue Talisman: There are better options for the price (like Aqua Wood by Mancera). Now, if you try the Extrait, that’s another story! For me it’s just too expensive and it doesn’t perform well. 2️⃣ Louis Vuitton – Météore: Again, too pricey! I’d recommend Azzaro Chrome Azure instead. I had a bottle of Météore but sold it because it lasted no more than 3–4 hours on my skin. 3️⃣ Bleu de Chanel – L’Exclusif: I still believe Le Parfum is the best option from the line. L’Exclusif performs well and smells nice, but… meh, still too pricey! Love to hear your thoughts!
