As I began this journey I listened to Antonio and I would say I spray pretty consistently about 6 sprays (three abdomen, 1 each shoulder, back of the neck) with one exception for Nishane Wulong Cha X. That one, just one or two. It is an extrait and the green tea notes can be overpowering. Then for some of my weaker scents or just to refresh I will respray 2-3 times. Now some perfumers recommend similar to this chart. A couple perfumers popular here in BOS: Kilian Hennessey recommends up to 6 across the neck, back, arms, and chest, but emphasizes finding a noticeable yet balanced amount through trial and error ; Frederic Malle advises wearers to establish a set spray count and stick to it, warning against the common mistake of overspraying due to "olfactory fatigue"—when you become nose-blind to a scent you wear frequently. How do you spray? Do you regulate based on concentration, intent, use the same number, or do you have a different approach? TLDR/how many sprays is just right for you, and do you change your approach and why?

Iced cologne recent pickup and Love this one! It’s the only one from the YSL line I own but I have a bunch of samples of the other ones and enjoy this one most. Clean classy that’s fresh and reminds me of LV imagination with the tea note. Performance is great, not too strong but just right. Pressurized atomizer that I don’t like. The bottle I think looks nice though! Enjoy your day smelling good!!😌

So I went to Short Hills Mall in NJ and really enjoyed walking around. My first stop was Louis Vuitton, where I picked up LV Pacific Chill and LV Imagination. Side note: they were completely out of samples, which was a bummer. I tested both on separate wrists right there in the store and really liked the scent profiles. But once I left and got home, the performance was straight-up horrific. I sprayed around 7pm, got home around 10pm, and my friends could barely smell anything — it was basically a skin scent at that point if that. I’m not trying to drop that much money on fragrances that disappear so fast, especially when there are so many good clones and dupes out there for a fraction of the price. It’s possible the tester bottle in the store was weak, or maybe I just didn’t spray enough… I’m not sure 🤷‍♂️ I’m willing to accept defeat if someone says I didn’t spray enough or bad batch. Question for you guys: Should I exchange these two for Sun Song and Ombré Nomade? I’ve heard those are a lot stronger, and I already like their scents too. The other LV I’m not a fan of no hate but afternoon swim, L’immensity and meteore are not for me. What’s your take?
