Flood Gates Are Open! Hangout With Russell 🙌
For those of you who have or are considering starting a community online, pay close attention to how Russell is launching and growing this community... it is GOLD! Now, I already know many of you are probably thinking, what if I have no list? You can still follow what Russell is doing, even if you have a small audience or none starting out. First, the strategy... Step 1: Russell hosted an online event to launch the community. He quickly ranked up into the top 100 communities on the platform because of all the engagement from the 3 day event. Step 2: Next, he is now opening up this community to his email list (I loved the email he sent out today) and I am sure we are going to double over night because of it. Step 3: Ongoing, one of my biggest takeaways from the question that I got to ask Russell during the event was his approach to continuing to grow this community. He bought the domain name HangoutwithRussell. com and all of his content efforts are going to have that as the call to action. So how can you do this with out a big audience? What if you have no audience? Do This: Go through and study the Online Selling Event frameworks and host an event that would attract your ideal audience. Find out who is already congregating that audience and where they are hanging out online and go get known. Yes this can take time, but the more value you share and contribute to the conversations going on, the more people you can attract to joining your event. Step 1: Launch your event and host it inside a communtiy just like Russell did. Even with a few people attending your event, you can gain some great momentum. Step 2: Next, spread the message to the audience you already have. Even if you don't think you have an audience, if you have a social media account on any platform, you might be surprised who is watching and who may want to join the communtiy you are creating. Step 3: Focus on creating content about your communtiy, documenting the journey, adding value to your audience, sharing your excitement for what you are building, and be consistent. Have a clear call to action for everything you are doing and invite them to join your community.
