Markets are expecting a 25 bps rate cut to 4.00–4.25% with very high probability. 🕗 Time: 7:00pm BST – FOMC Rate Decision & Statement 🕣 Time: 7:30pm BST – FOMC Press Conference What this means • Expect sharp moves in USD pairs, indices, and rate-sensitive assets. • High volatility and potential whipsaws around key levels. • During the day, USD-related assets may remain less volatile, with the main movement concentrated around the announcements. Recommendation If you’re trading manually: we strongly suggest closing open positions before the news to avoid unnecessary risk. Be cautious, false stability during the day can quickly turn into extreme volatility once the statements are released.
