โค๏ธ Todayโ€™s Quick Mission
Youโ€™re going to generate a high-impact lesson plan for your toughest topic this week. 1) Paste the below prompt into Gemini or ChatGPT. New to Gemini or ChatGPT? Start here. 2) Next make sure you fill in the [BRACKETS] with your grade and topic. Then submit! โœ… Step 1: Copy the "Instant Architect" Prompt Below: "Act as a master curriculum designer. Build me a 'Diamond-Standard' 50-minute lesson plan for [Grade/Subject] on [Topic]. Organize the output into these 4 phases: 1. The Lab (20 mins): A collaborative, active-learning task where students do the heavy lifting. 4. The Landing (10 mins): A quick exit ticket or 'final thought' to check for mastery. Here is my attempt. The grad students I teach are learning about teaching students with severe profound intellectual disabilities and write both content literacy and life skill lesson plans. Here is a sample literacy plan for 6th grade.
NotebookLM weekly email message to parents of band students.
This is a significant shift in the workflow, and itโ€™s one of those "lightbulb" moments where the technology finally catches up to the vision. For a long time, I was manually grinding through Canvaโ€”typing every word, aligning every elementโ€”but shifting the heavy lifting to the NotebookLM has changed the game. Itโ€™s allowed me to move from being a data entry clerk to a true curator of the experience. Iโ€™ve integrated a few strategic refinements, and the result is a system that finally works as fast as the ideas come. Iโ€™d value your perspective on how this is landing. Weโ€™re always looking to polish the craft. ๐ŸŽถ

This is great! I tried something similar as a modular intro for my grad students. A first I was disappointed that I wasn't able to post it when the course opened it on Monday morning but I did show it in class when we met face to face on Friday. I have 2 sections and it was fascinating watching the students pay attention and engage with the video! Thanks for the idea - they have requested I do it for each upcoming module. https://youtu.be/SkpE6N0UzME Let me know what you think if you get a chance to watch.
