@AI For Teachers With Diana I used your prompt! Thank you for that, by the way. 🎢 Act as a master curriculum designer. Build me a 'Diamond-Standard' 50-minute lesson plan for 8th Grade Band on Key Signatures. @AI With Diana I actually told Gemini to make the PDF, but I'm sure if I had explained that in the prompt, it would have. I haven't tested that. Thanks for all you do! 🎡
Bridge Challenge
I used gemini with notebookLM to update my bridge build directions. Then I used Canva AI to make it look nicer. I took too long with Canva but it is a start. https://canva.link/s026w7xvpyeuuxz

I love this whole thread! 🎡
Recruitment
I recently experimented with using AI to design a recruiting poster for our beginning band program, and the process was surprisingly collaborative. I started by describing the message I wantedβ€”fun, belonging, teamwork, growth, and confidence-building for incoming 6th grade band students. Using AI image tools, I generated a poster layout and then iterated step by step: adjusting grade levels, changing shirt colors, fixing instrument hand positions, removing elements that didn’t fit, and formatting it for 8.5Γ—11 printing. I even added a QR code so families can easily access detailed band information. What started as a simple prompt turned into a polished recruiting flyer through small refinements, showing how AI can be a powerful creative partner for educators.

@Therese Heidelberger Thank you for the kind words. I used a combination of ChatGPT, Gemini, and finally Canva.

π—ͺ𝗛𝗔𝗧’𝗦 𝗬𝗒𝗨π—₯ π—ͺ𝗛𝗬 (𝗖𝗒𝗣𝗬/π—£π—”π—¦π—§π—˜): πŸ‘‹ πŸ”΅ Name: Joe Covill πŸ”΅ Subject & Grade: Middle School Band Director, 6th–8th Grade πŸ”΅ Location: Pullman, Washington πŸ”΅ Current biggest time-consuming tasks: Planning and teaching multiple band classes, preparing concerts and jazz performances, communicating with parents, creating practice challenges and student materials, and building projects for my music program and creative business πŸ”΅ What’s your why? What would you do with more time with AI? (personally and/or professionally):My β€œwhy” is helping students grow through music, confidence, discipline, and teamwork. I want my classroom to be a place where kids feel challenged, supported, and proud of what they can accomplish together. I also love creating, building, and finding modern ways to make music education more engaging and meaningful. With more time through AI, I would streamline planning, parent communication, handouts, and organizational tasks so I could spend more energy on actual teaching, connecting with students, and growing creative ideas. Professionally, I’d use that extra time to build stronger music program resources, develop modern music education content, and expand my maker and 3D printing work. Personally, I’d use it to create more, stress less, and focus on the work that really matters.

I don't see the prompt. I'm probably just way behind the eight ball here and haven't checked in a long time.
