Trios tips
Trios and trains look like so much fun. I was hoping to teach my crew to do trios but was wondering if anyone had some tips or info especially for newbies trying it out. I’ve been searching around but finding it hard to get my hands on any information and sadly no one does this move where I live. One thing I did find out was that the person on the right leads the moves, is that correct? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 🙏

Roller Skate Buyers Guide📖
I'm creating a roller skate buyers guide and I'm curious what questions do you guys have around buying roller skates, equipment, parts, and accessories? It could be as simple as what is a good first pair of skates or as high-level as when do I know if it's the right time for me to upgrade to custom top-tier pair of roller skates. Lay it all out because I want this to be a comprehensive guide for beginners and advanced skaters alike.

What is the best position for my plate to be mounted on my boot? Mounting your plate slightly towards the back or slightly towards the front has a huge impact. What is the best plate size for my style? I've heard some roller dancers getting plates that are 2 sizes smaller to maximize agility. Also if i'm buying a cheaper setup what are the limitations I should be aware of? And what moves should I not even consider to do on them.
Arius plate too advanced for an intermediate skater?
Looking to upgrade my set! I'm trying to decide if the 45 degree angles of the Arius plates should only be used with caution for advanced/elite skaters, or can help an intermediate skater get used to them?

Roller Skating footage from 1910
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tlnU7ZQ2zU I came across this footage of people skating in my hometown Brisbane, Australia from way back in 1909/10. The footage was part of a skate "Carnival" and also showed people playing Roller Polo (which later became/known as roller hockey). There is also footage of skaters playing some form of musical chairs, looks wild 🤣

I came across some more footage and photos from that era and also a postcard from someone who attended the carnival session from the previous footage. https://youtu.be/ElaM95pFiPI?si=9srekPeO6SttwfbU

@Signorina Rollini they have some great skills. I imagine it would have been quite challenging on skates from that era.
