The problem with an all in one platform.
This topic frequently arises among clients and in various forums, prompting me to share my insights and perspective. All-in-one platforms like Kajabi and Kartra initially seem attractive, offering a seemingly ideal solution where you can manage emails, CRM, courses, products, affiliates, and more under one membership. However, a significant issue that many of my clients have encountered is the lack of control. When you rely on a single platform, you're essentially putting all your "eggs in one basket." If the platform decides to alter its features, increase prices, or eliminate certain functionalities, you're left with no choice but to overhaul your entire operation. An alternative approach is to view your business as comprising distinct departments. In many cases, this can be as straightforward as three key areas: email, landing pages/checkout, and courses/digital products. By using separate platforms for each department, you gain flexibility. If a platform changes or you discover another service with better features or pricing that suits your business needs, you can transition that specific business segment with relative ease. To draw a parallel from my experience, consider this: During my 13 years as a senior corporate manager, I never once asked the HR department for a 12-month sales revenue report. There's a rationale behind corporations maintaining distinct divisions within their structure. This approach not only ensures specialized focus and expertise in each area but also provides operational flexibility and reduces dependency on a single service provider. If all in ones are working for you - Awesome! Just wanted to share a different perspective as I run into this frequently with clients who get stuck with a platform they've out grown, have tech issues that shut down their entire operations, or the platform continues to raise prices where as competitors are lowering theirs. Hope this helps in making the right decision on what platform/s you chose to run your business on.

All-in-one platforms are designed with integration and compatibility at their core, significantly reducing the time and effort required for support, integration, and system management. They anticipate the needs of various apps working harmoniously, which can be a huge time-saver for businesses. The beauty of these platforms is that they evolve with the intention of staying compatible, offering a seamless experience that individual app solution platforms may not provide. Yes, there's a certain level of commitment when choosing an all-in-one solution (like being married to their price point) but this is offset by the convenience of having a unified system that takes into account the interplay between different business functions. Ultimately, the decision should be based on a business's specific needs and growth trajectory. All-in-one platforms can offer a level of synchronization and time efficiency that piecemealing different services might not achieve. It's all about choosing the right tool for the job, and for many, the streamlined operation of an all-in-one platform is precisely what their business requires to thrive!

Nine-Step Framework to eBook...
I'm excited to share that I've completed my nine-step framework, which is now available as a book (ebook) via my site (and hopefully soon-to-be paperback via Amazon). The book encourages folks to take the next step of scheduling a strategy session, as Aaron recommends. I want to clarify that the intention behind this book is NOT to replace me nor to render my services obsolete. Instead, I created the book to use as a lead generation tool, establishing me as an authority by following the steps in Aaron's materials for creating videos--but I turned mine into a book. The book is not perfect. But it is finished. For now. As my therapist says, release my work and adjust as I go instead of holding back forever waiting for 'perfection.' The content, including the internal workbooks, is designed to create a sense of overwhelm for those who delve into it as well as create authority for me. For the savvy individuals, employing the nine steps alongside the included bonus section's prompts can potentially replace my direct guidance. If they are that advanced they probably are not the clients for me anyways. However, I understand that running a business is demanding, and many entrepreneurs may find it challenging to navigate the extensive process outlined in the book while managing their companies. Or so I hope ;) I've recorded nearly 100 videos, some recorded live in parks or on a couple beautiful California beaches, and others were recorded in front of cellphones or a web cam at my desktop or home office following Aaron's materials. Didn't like any of them. The framework is perfect. I do not care for working without a teleprompter. Is just me. I'm not a procrastinator. I struggle with perfectionism. Which in turn creates procrastination. Here's hoping rolling out the ebook and later the paperback gets me off that fence. Oh. The cover art is not finished. It is a working mock up for now. Is pretty close to the real deal tho. Anyhow, I welcome any constructive feedback. Your insights are greatly appreciated!

@Andre Bell Love your open share about your strategy. Also love the line "The book is not perfect. But it is finished." That is a lesson in itself for content creators everywhere. Also love your intention to overwhelm! Your post really made me think about how I am positioning myself. I'm sure admins will allow your upload as many others have done so with PDFs to share with the group. All the best!

@Brian Mylett The Community Quickstart in the Classroom is the place to start. To make it easy, follow the attached CHECKLIST. There is no shortcut to grasping the depth of this material. You will not complete the checklist in a few hours or even a few days. It will take a few weeks. But the time you invest will pay you back X100 when you dig in and digest the concepts. All the best to you!
