Quick question for people experienced in ecommerce
I’m trying to grow an online store, but I’m realizing there are a lot of moving parts, product research, ads, store design, and getting consistent sales. For those who are already doing well in ecommerce, what would you say is the most important thing a beginner should focus on first? Trying to learn and avoid wasting time on the wrong things. Any advice would really help.

I started my business selling gf bread from my house with a website then grew into a store front in 2 yrs. I don't know where you are in your journey. Do you already have a store front? I developed a website with my products on it to sell, went out and started finding places to sell my bread, started an Instagram account for it and the sales increased and I grew out of my house. I started in 2020. Everyone ordered through my website, giving me a day and time to pick up and I developed my customer base. I did not run ads. But I don't know what your product is. I don't think you should worry about store design - back burner. Customers and website development is my suggestion and my experience.
