Yesterday I finished a short film about suicide awareness. It’s a subject that has touched my life more times than I wish it had. The goal wasn’t to create something shocking. The goal was to create something honest. If it helps one person feel seen, start a conversation, reach out for help, or realize they’re not alone, then it was worth making. @James Humecky kindly allowed me to work on the audio for the Somatic Pleasure Community Signature, and I thought it would be fun to share a little behind-the-scenes look at some of the choices that helped bring it to life, because what you hear can completely change what you feel! In this short breakdown, I talk about: 🌿 Nature sounds (birds, ocean, pool...) 💨 Breath transitions ✨ Small sound details that support the story (like the bed creaking) 🎙️ Voice enhancement 🎵 Music and emotional pacing My intention wasn't simply to make the video sound better.
