What should i use for the best performance-to-price ratio?
I am looking for the most cost-effective way to utilize SOTA LLMs. I am debating between standard subscriptions (Claude Pro, Cursor, Gemini Advanced) and a custom setup: hosting an agent (e.g., Hermes-Agent) on a VPS using OpenRouter API keys. This modular approach would allow me to optimize 'cost-per-token' by routing complex queries to high-end models while using cheaper models for routine tasks. Given the lack of hardware for local inference, is this API-centric approach more efficient than a flat-rate subscription in terms of 'performance-to-price' ratio? Whats your toughts? Is it cheaper and better to pay per token, or should i just buy Claude Pro?

I’m targeting a monthly API spend of around 20€. As a student working part-time, my budget is limited, and I’ve spent a lot of time 'free-tier hopping' or self-hosting local models. However, the latency and performance of local setups have been painful. I’m ready to make my first investment into a professional stack to build basic automations and eventually monetize them to cover my costs. To clarify my understanding: Is Hermes primarily an autonomous execution loop (vertical), while OpenClaw acts as a multi-channel orchestrator/gateway (horizontal)? I’ve also looked into CrewAI, Agent Zero, Goose and OpenHands, but Hermes and OpenClaw seem the most promising for my needs. (I probably sorta fell into the FOMO loop 🫣) My main concern is the Ops overhead. How much maintenance does an OpenClaw/Hermes VPS setup actually require for someone without a heavy coding background? And is 20€/month enough to run these agents meaningfully via OpenRouter, or will the token burn be too high? What is the average cost-per-task you're seeing with OpenRouter on a 20€ budget? I'm worried about the token burn during long agent loops. How much maintenance (Ops) does an OpenClaw/Hermes setup realistically require? I want to focus on building, not server troubleshooting. (I would probably spend more tokens on server troubleshooting then on real building because of my non-coder backgroundπŸ˜‚) As a non-coder, do you think the UI-driven setup of OpenClaw is robust enough for me, or is the learning curve too steep for a $20/month use case?
Claude Code vs Codex
I have always wounded this but, which is better Claude Code or Codex. I’ve heard that Claude Code is better but, there may be some things Codex shines in that Claude Code doesn’t overlap in. Curious to hear someone’s opinion.

I have been also thinking about which is better and i felt into this FIMO rabbit hole, could somebody help me? Hi all, Danny here, im a student from Czech republic. Im trying to learn about AI for a year or so and i came across this Skool community on Nate's YouTube Channel. I hope that i will find something useful in here because i see alot of FIMO content everywhere and im probably falling for it πŸ˜‚. I want to learn more about AI Agents, Aumotaions ect... Right now im trying to figure out how to spend my money most effectively. My long term goal is to became an AI Orchestrator and i would like to have some kind of business.

Has anyone figured out how to run your own local LLM's like Gemma 4 inside Antigravity?
