How I 10x My Script Writing Speed
I couldn't sit down and write a script for more than 5 mins. Now I can write a script in less than an hour. This post only took me 20 mins to write today. I know some of you have asked questions about this so here is how I learned to write faster and actually finish my scripts. Once I had a quiet environment set up and was ready to write I would do these 3 things. 1. Close all tabs except for the page you need and your resources. I would put my phone on the other end of the room and play lo fi music into my ear buds. this would help me focus 2. Use Chatgpt to create a quick outline to give you something to edit. This will get ideas flowing and help you get momentum 10x faster. 3. The Biggest secret is to start writing something even if it sucks and just keep writing sentences until a clear idea forms in your head and then keep writing.  🚨 DO NOT go back and adjust the crap you just wrote! That will kill your momentum and slow you down. Do that after you have written the bulk of your page. These three tips have literally changed my life but, the most important thing is to practice and train your brain on how to stay focused on one thing. Of course that is a massive topic and I would love to have that conversation with you in the comments if you want but these 3 tips should be enough to get you started. Thank you so much for reading this post and please share YOUR Tips in the comments. I would love the chance to learn from you guys as well

Great advice Jonathan, writing is definitely my week point!
What do you Procrastinate on?
I personally have procrastinated on every part of the youtube process so i figured i would be a little vulnerable but also share a few things i have learned Things i used to procrastinate on: ❇️scripting: Now days i use chatgpt to create an outline and organize info in the page. this makes it easier to start because i already have something to edit. 🤪Editing: Accepting that i will be boring and just because i feel bored and frustrated doesn't mean i have to act like it. so i persist even when i don't want to Researching and titles. ok i still struggle with this one a little bit but it's easier. 🔥I think the key is to have clarity on the process so that it's easier to initiate the task and get momentum ❇️The best way for me to do that is to play and not put any pressure on myself to get a video out so i can just explore and let my mine wander. at least that what help me get clarity. I would love to know what helps you though What do you guys think. Let me know int he comments what you procrastinate on and what you do to fix it. i would be fascinated to know

@Jonathan Mcelrea it can happen for other things but especially writing. I’m much better at speaking!
This one Thing Changed My Life
3 years ago i was Lazy I had all the time in the world to work on my youtube channel but I didn't. I truly believed I would be successful but I didn't back it up with the work. I had a procrastination problem. People told me I should just quit and focus on a normal career. I Didn't listen, I believed I could make my youtube channel work, but I wasn't getting anywhere. I felt like a fraud. I felt stuck and ashamed of it. I knew I needed to fix this problem, so I went to work. I read dozens of books on productivity and discipline. I spent 3 years breaking my limiting beliefs and building systems that allow me to show up every single day and put in the work. Now I can make a video in less than five hours. Now instead of just thinking about how to make a good video, i can actually learn from practice! I’m not where I want to be yet. However, I am 10x more likely to achieve my goals now that i have a system that allows me to post 1 -3 video a week consistently! I finally have a direction and the discipline to run in that direction Every Single Day For the first time in my life I feel like I have the power to make my dreams come true. I don’t want others to feel the way that I did back then, so I made a free skool group that Video Creators can join to learn how to beat procrastination Completely for free. I am now more fulfilled than ever before. I guess what I'm trying to say is don’t quit. You Can find your way. Let Me know in the Comments how procrastination has affected your youtube journey, if at all.

If you add a bit of EQ and Compression in Premiere it will give you a much more broadcast level sound
I ordered a new wireless mic!
I finally ordered a new mic. The prior mic I had was cheap - about $10 on amazon. When I ordered it 6 months ago, I deliberately didn't want to spend much on it. I promised myself that if I became more serious, studied, posted (though definitely want to be WAY more consistent and prolific), after 6 months, I would upgrade. Also, to be honest, turning 70 last month put a new perspective on not waiting for things that could make my life better (as long as I can afford to do so). Anyway, I hemmed and hawed, considered a number of options and then finally decided that I needed to stop procrastinating and reading dozens of reviews. Instead I realized that moving on and making a decision was the most prudent thing for me to do in order to improve the sound of my videos. The prior wireless mic had drawbacks. I was willing to put up with them until I wasn't! The considerations I had in purchasing the new one are: 1. The new mic has a usb-c ending that works with my new iPhone 16 Pro Max, as opposed to the prior wireless mic that has a lightening ending. I probably could've ordered the same prior mic with a usb-c ending (or a similarly priced one) but as I mentioned, it was time to upgrade. 2. With the prior mic , there was no indication to tell how much of a charge was left in the mic. Plus it only had a total of 6 hours when charged which was not acceptable in my book. 3. The prior mic didn't come with a case. I retrofitted a case with a plastic food storage container, but am excited to have one with its very own case. The new mic I ordered not only comes with a case, but the case charges it. If anyone is interested, I'll report back and let you know whether I like the new one. Here's the one I ordered: https://a.co/d/1AQbJC2 ~Ellen's Healthy Kitchen
