Still going on Rujuu, but need help with buttonband
I am still going and at the button band My pattern never seems to end with the p3 or k3 accurately ?.. I have 134 sts so not sure if that is the problem It seems my r1 and r2 are reversed? Does this matter?

@Liene Kalniņa yes, many times My set up row does not match up when turning work and doing first row? Knit does not line up to knit So i reversed r2 for r1 but did not write down information so now my second band does not match that first one I may have to redo both again

A Change of plans for the MYAL Virtual Fashion Show
Hello my lovely MYAL knitters 🧶 I need to share a change of plan with you, and I want to be honest about why. It has been a difficult few days for me and I have been quite affected. Those of you who follow me on Instagram will very likely now what I am referring to. Right now, I am not in the right place to host a live celebration the way I planned. And I do not want that to take away from what this event was meant to be: a celebration of YOU and all the work you have done. For many of you, this was your first all-over colourwork sweater, your first steek, your first time trying something out of your comfort zone. And that deserves to be celebrated properly, not under a dark cloud. So here is what I would love you to do instead. Please reply to this thread with: ❤️ your favourite photo of your Rujuu Sweater, whether it is a WIP or FO. ✨ 3 words that describe your Rujuu knitting experience 🤔 One thing that surprised you (a challenge or a win) 💡 One thing you would do differently next time We will celebrate together here, on Skool, and I promise I will be cheering for each and every one of you. Thank you for your patience with me this week. I am so proud of what you have all made. 🤍

My thoughts are with you and admire your strength. My Rujuu experience as first time garment item and only have briefly done colourwork before, thought I would join your community classes with your expertise guidance. I have learned so much from you and the help of the community as well. ❤️ your favourite photo of your Rujuu Sweater, whether it is a WIP or FO. Wip on that band as I had reached out for help but only got weird answers or to watch your video, I just cant seem to work out the set uprow and first row to work out? ✨ 3 words that describe your Rujuu knitting experience Challenge, exciting and amazement(that I actually made this)! 🤔 One thing that surprised you (a challenge or a win) Challenge to read patterns is my difficulty but a win that you explained in precise detail and I made this,,,, 💡 One thing you would do differently next time Pay attention and read the pattern a few times before diving in! Thank you and I look forward to future knit alongs Wishing you all the best. Dale
Rujuu complete
In January, my husband convinced me to make it my new years resolution to go *way* outside my comfort zone and do this mystery knit-a-long. 2 1/2 months later (after delays getting a zipper) it's finished. So many challenges met - the picking of l colors without knowing what the finished project would look like, putting a zipper into a knit garment, steeking for the first time, figuring out how to make a knit double sided zipper facing so that all my raw edges and zipper tape were completely enclosed when I couldn't find a tutorial for it, trying to source an antique brass two way zipper, etc. After a few sessions of tearing it out and reknitting (one because I changed sizes, another because I decided that transitioning from red to navy really should have hand-dyed purple in between :) and another because I decided I wanted it 3" shorter than I had it after I had finished the ribbing), my Rujuu sweater that I started on January 15 is done!

@Liene Kalniņa why do you keep asking this Does it have to be registered on Raverly????
Anyone still going?
I am still working through my rujuu and wondered if anyone else is? I like to go a little off piste with patterns (I believe @Zanete Hussain does too!) and decided early on my cardigan was going to be hooded with a zip closure. I also then decided I wanted to fleece lined and have everything i need to finish. Using techniques I've learned before I centralised the pattern for the hood, starting part way through the chart, and stepped back 5sts each side to allow room for a ribbed edge. Would love to hear from anyone still knitting! 🤩 I still need to: 1. Finish hood ribbing 2. Sleeves 3. Sew in ends 4. Block 5. Pattern, cut and sew in fleece lining 6. Add zip and cover strip 7. Wear!
