Which Potatoes Should You Choose?🥔
You may have noticed that particular potato recipes call for specific type of potatoes. This is because potatoes differ by their content of amylose and amylopectin. - Potato types high in amylose are fluffy and floury. They're the best for mashing, frying, or baking. - Potato types high in amylopectin are waxy. They're best for boiling, and tend to hold their shape rather than falling apart. If you try to mash them, they'll go gluey. Waxy-type potatoes are also higher in resistant starch. When they're cooked , then cooled, their molecules align to trap water and resist digestion. Do you know what's the difference between the amylose and amylopectin? Tell me if you know, and tell me if you don't👇 @Elena Maren don't spoil the joke for others, wait for them to answer 😂

@Jan Bürger That’s cool 😃
I’m still here!
I have been absent this week due to family commitments and we got a new puppy last weekend. Life’s been crazy.🤪 I have been working on my food choices though. Some not so great but I’m not hard on myself. One constant is the container of Kefir in the fridge. I am the only one drinking it, so every time I get a bit of the urge to splurge, I take a gulp of Kefir straight from the bottle! 🤭

Welcome everyone!
This is how your body tells you it's losing capacity!
Most people don’t realize they’re losing strength, balance, and mobility until everyday things start feeling harder. It could be things like getting up from the floor, walking upstairs without using the railing, standing on one leg while putting on shoes or turning quickly without feeling a bit unstable... We tend to call this 'ageing', but it’s often a mix of not enough movement, not enough strength training and, of course, not giving your body what it needs to maintain muscle and move well. Muscle doesn’t just disappear with time. It disappears when we don’t use it (use it or lose it, remember?!) … and when we don’t support it (protein being a big one). The same thing is true for stiffness. It's not just “tight muscles”, it can also be linked to recovery, inflammation, hydration, and how we fuel the body. A simple self-check: 1. Stand on one leg for 30 seconds (no support) 2. Sit down and get up from the floor without using your hands 3. Bend forward and try to touch your toes without bending your knees Give them a try! If one felt harder than expected, that’s not a failure, it’s feedback...Your body is asking for a bit more support (movement, strength, working on your balance… and better fuel). I'm curious to read how did it go in the comments!👇

@Eva Guerrero I include a bunch of mobility exercise not just this one 😃 I really like the jefferson curl also. As a mobility exercise with a “light” weight.

So cool that May 1st in on a Friday, right? I hope you all have a great weekend 🌟🌟🌟 🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢 Key things that will happen this weekend: - we will wrap up the April Gut GlowUp Challenge and those of you who took the quiz at the beginning will take the quiz again to compare results - we will start to prepare for May Challenge (Insulin Sensitivy) - on Sunday we will have our Sunday Story (I know I´m writing too long for these but bear with me, they are Beautiful Science and you could go back to them whenever you want) - 🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢 In the morning I lift some weights or I do squats with a 12kg kettle bell. And I have to have music on :)) This is my motivational music for today´s session. Have you moved a little bit today? What have you done?
