Hi everyone -- this is my first time posting in the skool Classifieds, so I hope I post this correctly! I'm a voice educator - I typically teach young competitive singers, professional singers, and adult hobbyists, but two of my other voice teachers and I recently took on some very talented young children in private lessons, so this course grew from that need. If you have a child (or know one), please read on, answer the poll, and comment or DM me for more info. I used to teach classroom voice and music in addition to choir and theater to children starting at age 3, so I am an advocate for early voice & music education (I'm a trained SLPA as well). I've decided to use the curriculum I taught in the classroom and turn it into an online course for parents to do with their child, along with my guidance. The course is called KidSing Academy, for ages 4-12. There are 3 levels and 19 lessons are already available in Level 1, with easy step by step instructions for parents to do at home. I've created these lessons to be simple to follow for parents who have no musical background, but want to give their kids a creative outlet and fun yet structured parent-child bonding time. The Level 1 lessons are available now, and I’m continuing to add resources to each one. Because the course is still being expanded, it’s currently offered at a one-time price of $27, which will increase once everything is complete. You can begin working with your child right away, and you’re always welcome to ask questions in the community under the KidSing Academy tab. One of the most important things I've learned since becoming an online entrepreneur is that the most important thing you can do to grow your business is to build relationships. Many of us (myself included) have rushed to promote our groups and services that we care so deeply about. And it only makes sense - we are excited about what we are doing! We had such an amazing call today in the PERSONALS. Yes, it started off a bit awkward (and that was mostly my fault) but the ball got rolling and we were able to have a wonderful conversation about collaboration and engagement (3 members even stayed on the call for an hour after I had to leave - thank you @Alexander Walter for taking the reins!). We do two calls a month - one is what I call and exchange of business cards where we introduce ourselves, what our groups do, and who they are for. It is recorded and the recording is shared with the group (just to be clear, there are no actual business cards...). The other call is a version of what we did today where it is just a casual conversation about a topic of interest. The "business card" exchange is earlier in the day and usually has 20+ people in attendance. The discussion is later in the day and usually has about a dozen people in attendance. What I'm wondering is: is it the time of day that makes the difference or the type of call that makes the difference? My kids are really into the "Would You Rather" game right now, so I thought we could play along too. Please vote in the poll and then explain your answer in the comments below. I'm so excited to connect with you all again tomorrow! It's our first PERSONALS of 2026, we have some new faces, and a lot to catch up on! Last time we met, we did what I'm calling a business card exchange, and so it's time to do something a bit more, well, personal.
