FRIDAY CHECK-IN: FAMILY & FUR BABIES šŸ¾ā¤ļø
As we head into the weekend, let’s slow it down and zoom out for a second. When I say family, I don’t just mean blood. Family is: - Who you live with - Who you work with - Who you train with - Who you spend your time and energy around - And yes… the fur babies who never let you skip a walk or coming home šŸ˜„ - We’re at the very beginning of building something special here—not just a group, but a community that actually supports each other. Over time, this place becomes part of that extended family too. šŸ‘‡ Your turn:Drop a photo of your family, friends, fur babies, or the people who matter most to you,. One sentence is plenty. No pressure. Just real life. I’ll add mine later today. Looking forward to meeting yours.

Dr. Cruse and I during a home visit with 8 adorable puppies. Five weeks ago I got a call, ā€œMy son’s dog just had a puppy and I didn’t even know she was pregnant!ā€ I dropped everything, sped over, and for the next 4 hours we delivered 8 more healthy babiesā™„ļøšŸ¾ Dr. Cruse was on FaceTime for quite a while during the laboršŸ«¶šŸ» In this case, it took my chosen family to create an even larger family, and I feel so blessed!
Day 2 of Vibration Plate
So, I have a bad habit of going balls out on a lot of things. That’s exactly what I did yesterday. I didn’t start at beginner level, I started at medium hard. It felt great! 25 minutes, that’s all. Then I went to town on cleaning the house. 3 hours later, the truth hit me hard! I’m at the store and my hips, pelvis and lower back are starting to ache like I had just given birth! I sadly hobbled out to my car and drove straight home. Yep, I have learned my lesson, don’t get ā€˜knocked up’ by the vibe plate. Today I will just sit on it and listen to the breath work video. Tomorrow is a new day, and I will start on beginner’s level!
🄩 FUEL THURSDAY — Let’s Talk Decisions
Food is one of the most frequent decisions we make every day — and most people never slow down enough to notice how they’re deciding. So let’s break it down (no judgment, no perfection required): How do you decide what to eat? - Do you plan ahead? - Eat when you’re hungry? - Or eat when you’re hangry and just need something fast? What framework are you using right now? - Keto - Carnivore - Vegetarian - ā€œNo sugar / no junkā€ - Or… no real plan at all (been there) What are you optimizing for most days? - Taste - Fuel / energy - Recovery & rebuilding your body - Convenience And here’s the big one: Has your approach to food changed over time? What type of fuel actually gives you: - Steady energy? - Clear thinking? - Better workouts? - Better mood? Drop a photo, a sentence, or a few bullets. This isn’t about being ā€œright.ā€ It’s about being aware. Fuel isn’t dieting.Fuel is how you show up tomorrow. šŸ‘‡

I typically eat a healthy breakfast and lunch, but I am also guilty of forgetting to eat. I try really hard not to hit the hangry stage because it gets real ugly, real fast! I’m still a work in progress, but it’s gotten a lot better!
šŸ† Wednesday Wins
Midweek pause. Here’s the truth: life is hard. For some people, just getting to Wednesday takes everything they’ve got—and that’s okay. This community is here for: - The weeks where you’re grinding and building momentum - And the weeks where showing up is the win A win might be: - You took your first step - You took your 10th step - You trained, planned, or followed through - You got out of bed - You slowed your breathing instead of spiraling - You showed up here when it would’ve been easier to disappear All of it counts. If you need help slowing things down, the breathwork videos live here:šŸ‘‰ https://www.skool.com/thedailygrindclub?c=a2046c83f369409e837b8b325a19ba05&s=best-1m&fl= They’re there to support you—not add pressure. Drop one win below. Big or small.Grinding forward or just holding steady. Some weeks we push. Some weeks we endure. Both are part of the grind.

My wins for the day. Saved our daughter at the gas station when her car wouldn’t start. I started working out on the vibration plate! I washed the walls in the kitchen. I’m spending a lot of me time loving our furbabies since Jay is out of state. Today was a good day!
Happy Training Tuesday, Grinders. šŸ’ŖšŸ‹ļø
Quick daily check-in (60 seconds). No perfect answers needed. Yesterday we talked about planning your week to beat decision fatigue.Today, let’s zoom in on training. Two simple questions: - Why do you train? - What does your training week actually look like right now? Your ā€œwhyā€ will change over time—and that’s normal. I’ve been training since 1988, and mine has evolved a lot: - At 11, it was football. - As a teen, it was size and strength. - In my 20s, it was stress relief. - During competition years, it was performance. - Now, it’s about how training makes me feel—clear, grounded, in control. I don’t train to prove anything anymore. I train because I like who I am when I do. Your reason doesn’t have to be deep. It just has to be honest. As for the plan—there’s no perfect split. The best one is the one that fits your life right now. When the plan is decided ahead of time, you don’t negotiate. You execute. And if you’re not training yet, that’s okay. You’re still in the right place. Your turn šŸ‘‡ One or two sentences is plenty. Bullet points count. Pick one (or more): - Why do you train? (Or why do you want to?) - What’s your current training plan? (How many days? Why does it fit your life right now?) - If you’re stuck: what’s the smallest thing you could do this week? This is today’s rep. Show up, log it, move on. LET'S GET IT ON!!

Here’s the truth. I do not work out, BUT! Today my vibration plate arrived and I am SO EXCITED!!! I feel like I have finally found something that helps my fibromyalgia and arthritis. A workout that my body can tolerate AND ease the pain! Starting tomorrow because tonight I just played with it and read the manual šŸ˜†
