Here in the PNW, we have a native flowering red currant that is in bloom right now and the fragrance is delicious! I haven’t seen any forsythia around lately but I’m sure we have some 😻

I love this video - beautiful images of moss! If anyone is left wanting more moss, I highly recommend Robin Wall Kimmerer’s first book, Gathering Moss. It is a bit more botanically focused than her more well known book, Braiding Sweetgrass, but similarly full of wonder and connection to our natural world.
