Reliable Estrogen Labs vs symptoms
How reliable is an estradiol result ? (Had partial hysterectomy-left both ovaries in 2019) So my E lab is 134. Got put on P & T cause they were low & I’ve have horrendous insomnia. I know it’s only been 2 weeks. My biggest reason for seeking HRT was this horrific musculoskeletal pain that keeps me in constant pain, in tears, & debilitated. The P helps me fall asleep but I don’t stay asleep- back up in 2hrs. Not sure T is doing much yet. I wonder if my E is truly 134?? Can’t I just try a tiny amount of E to see if I get ANY relief??? The PCP I reluctantly went to yesterday started with Gabapentin & Lyrica, then off to the neurologist for a muscle biopsy!!!! Hell to the NO!!! I’m literally at the end of my rope!

Confusion continues…
Just went to see a primary care physician…trying to get to the bottom of this excruciating nonstop ache/pain in my legs & feet. I already knew going in that I wasn’t gonna do what she suggested (Gabapentin or Lyrica) but when I told her I started HRT P caps & T injections she told me she didn’t think T was the answer to my legs ā€œtestosterone is only given for 1 primary reason…libidoā€. I’m dumbfounded & at a loss for words. And THIS is why I trust no one

@Tracey Stern WOW!!! So terrible! I’m sorry that happened to you!
Introduction!
Hello everyone! I’m so happy & RELIEVED to be here! I started my HRT journey just 1 week ago. I began with severe symptoms back in May that have plagued my musculoskeletal system & my ability to sleep. These really are affecting my quality of life I am 51 yo & desperate to get my life back. Looking forward to learning from everyone here. 🩷
Noticing changes?
For those of you on HRT, what would you say were the first notable changes you experienced after starting your protocol? What improvements stood out to you the most? For me, I saw an immediate improvement in my brain fog. I'm talking in the first couple weeks, it felt like I could finally have a coherent thought. & I also noticed that I wasn't as irritable or over stimulated all the time. That really stood out to me because I was SUPER on edge all the time before starting my injections. 🄹 I'm curious to hear what you guys experienced!

So I'm on week 2 of oral P & T injections: my biggest symptoms are insomnia, worsening restless legs, and worst of all hip & bilateral leg/thigh muscle/shin/feet pain. The P kept me in a deeper sleep the first night but not really longer hours & now it waxes & wanes. The T injections, with only having one full dose it is a little hard to tell as I’ve still had the feet pain, restless legs & pain on/off. But I have noticed that it feels like whatever dose I had is dropping off or gone because as it’s the day before my next injection & my leg symptoms are back to square one. I’m sobbing & writhing in pain in my legs. I understand the injections are supposed to keep me at a steady level & I know I’m just starting so it’s a low dose but could that be what’s happening? The dose is out of my system already ??
