Curve Gear
I recently started working for a new company involved in the mining space. Turns out we have another sister company that makes men's clothes! It's a South African company called Curve Gear. They have around 21 retail stores around the country. Their leather stuff is particularly nice. Check out this choc brown Vellie and belt combo I scored. Random 100 dollar Daniel Klein to suit.

@Warner Smith took a few wears to break in, but now they feel awesome. They're quite light and have cushioned soles. Shoes like this are quite popular in SA, and this is the best pair I have ever tried for sure.
Last Year’s Wins 🎉 This Year’s Focus 🎯
Gents, before we move too far into 2026, I want you to pause and look back intentionally. 1️⃣ Last Year Wins What’s 1–3 wins from last year you’re proud of? Doesn’t have to be massive. Progress counts — consistency, discipline, better decisions. Style upgrade you stuck with? A fragrance you finally made your signature? A watch milestone, collection refinement, or learning moment? A habit you strengthened, a distraction you cut, or a standard you raised 2️⃣ This Year’s Focus What’s 1–2 goals you’re deliberately committing to this year - not wishing for, but committing to? Could be... Sharpening your personal style as a form of self-respect Building a tighter, more intentional fragrance rotation Becoming more educated, patient, and disciplined with watches Showing up with more consistency - physically, mentally, and professionally Raising your standards in how you present yourself to the world Drop your wins and your focus below. Let’s build on what worked. And cut what didn’t!

2025 *Lost 20kg *Took a big decision to close my business and join a much bigger international company so I can focus solely on the bits of the job I love. - Started learning more about style and how I represent myself. 2026 - Last 10 odd kg to go - Get myself established at the new company and show them how it's done. - Finish overhauling my wardrobe. - Keep learning and growing to be the best version of myself I can.

@Glenn Cooke-Winchurch Def worth the effort it took for sure. Feel better, sleep better, allergies etc.. all better.
New dog.
Brought a goldendoodle home today. An acquaintance of my wife had her and needed to rehome her, so we took her in. She's three and half years old, fully house trained, and well behaved. So she rode 4 hours back home in the truck with me. She seems to really like our family, (even all my loud crazy kids) and this feels like a fun new chapter for us. I'm sure you'll be seeing more of her in future posts.

@John Witvoet dogs know who the good ones are. Nice one man.
What goes with tan coloured shoes?
I have an awesome pair of tan coloured Derbies. However, all my pants are dark colours. Black, navy, and choc brown chinos. Black and dark blue jeans. Everytime I try the tan shoes with these it just feels... wrong.
Saturday Chores
Well the Snow Storm is over and it wasn't as bad as they forecasted, but the driveway and parking lot at the office are plowed, the Walks are shoveled and salted and we are ready for the rest of the day. My wife is busy making a Beef Stew and I'm busy with my normal Saturday routine, Laundry, Ironing, Bill Paying etc. Hoping to sit and relax in front of a nice fire this evening together! Happy Saturday Everyone!
