Five months into my journey, I had an honest moment with myself.
At some point, I stopped tracking my food. Not because it didn’t work—but because I thought I didn’t need to anymore. I told myself I “knew better by now.” I had momentum. Progress. Confidence. And slowly, I let go of one of the very things that helped me succeed in the beginning. Here’s the truth I had to face: As you get closer to your goal, you actually need to be more strategic, not less. Tracking calories in vs calories out isn’t about punishment or obsession. For me, it’s about awareness and accountability. Complacency can sneak in quietly. You don’t fall off—you just stop doing the small things that created the biggest results early on. So I went back to basics. I started tracking again. Not because I failed—but because I’m committed to finishing strong. If you’ve eased up on the habits that once moved the needle, this is your reminder: Returning to fundamentals is not a setback. It’s wisdom. 👉🏾 Have you noticed yourself letting go of any “small” habits lately?

Great observation!! So true. Setbacks are learning lessons.

Welcome!!
All the holiday goodies!
Hey Everyone! The holiday season is here, and it is challenging to navigate all these great events and special treats. One thing I have been doing is mastering smaller portions and no second helpings. It has allowed me to enjoy all the good food without gaining weight. Stick to water and zero-calorie drinks. My goal is not to gain more than 4 lbs. If I hit that mark, I go back to being stricter and cannot indulge in the goodness until I lose what I gained. It has been working for me, and I hope it gives you some ideas for enjoying holiday eating without gaining weight.
