Content Strategy Planning Day 2/12
Every day (except for the weekends), I'll post questions to get you started with your content strategy planning. These points will build upon each other from each day to the next, so be sure you're going in order! We're taking an asynchronous approach this round. My goal is to make this feel less like you're drinking from a firehose and more like you're making steady, intentional, thoughtful progress. By the end of our few weeks working through this strategy planning, you'll have a clear idea of what to do daily, weekly, and monthly to grow your list, grow your business, and grow toward your 2025 goals. Pro tip: Grab a notebook or open a Google Doc to jot down your ideas throughout this process. This will be personal, so choose what feels best to you — analog or digital mode. Today's question to ponder: Fill in these blanks — [AUDIENCE] wants to go from [POINT A] to [POINT B] While you might already know this, solidifying and updating the transformation you offer can help reorient your content toward your north star.

@Kimberly Crossland Both, and ideally I catch them before they make a purchase. Choosing the best RV for your camping style can be one of the first costly mistakes made. Guiding them through the process of uncovering and digging deeper on the type of camping they will be doing is an important factor. Full-time or weekend warrior? Will they primarily being camping with full hook-ups, or are they more interested in traveling the back roads and boondocking? Size and floor plan matter. The second costly mistake can be in the actual purchasing process. Having a budget, being aware of ALL the costs involved, buying new or used, buying from a dealership or individual. Should they have a professional inspection done? Going in with clarity and a solid buying strategy is key. I feel like I am pretty niched down with new and aspiring RVers who want to be educated consumers and who see the value in learning as much as possible up front, and are willing to pay for this knowledge. I do provide a ton of information, but there is a lot to learn...I am open to suggestions, maybe I am offering too much? Maybe I am not niched down as much as I thought? Thanks!!

@Kimberly Crossland thank you, yes I’m super clear on all the different aspects. I think for me it is about highlighting the differences and helping people to discover what fits best for them.
Content Strategy Planning Day 1/12
We're heading into 2025 with ease, flow, and strategy planning — and I could not be more excited for this asynchronous approach. I've heard from so many of you that you're not quite ready to go back to the grind, so let's stay cozy for a while, shall we? Starting today, I'll post daily (except for the weekends) questions to get you started with your content strategy planning. Today's question to ponder: Fill in these blanks — My ultimate goal is to get [AUDIENCE] to [OUTCOME]. If you haven't yet, think through who you're serving with some depth (you can check the classroom section for more guidance). Then, think through the outcome you want to help them achieve. Get specific. Get clear. When you're done, drop your filled-in sentence below so we can check it out and get to know you better (which is important if we're going to refer others your way)!

My ultimate goal is to help new and aspiring RVers navigate the path to RV ownership, helping them save time, money, avoid costly mistakes and hit the road with competence and confidence. This includes guiding them through identifying what type, size, floor plan and brand fits their camping/traveling style at a price point and degree of quality that works for them. I also want to help them become aware of aspects of the RV industry that many people wish they knew before they bought. Help them navigate the operation of their RV, important regular maintenance necessary to keep their rig in good working order and maximize the life of the rig by taking good care of it. Also, inform them on the many costs involved in RVing and how mindset plays a big role in making the most of the RV experience including how managing their expectations will help even unexpected events more manageable. Being an educated consumer truly has an impact on one’s overall RV experience. My goal is to help RVers have the best experience possible by providing well-rounded information and reliable and trusted RV resources!

@Kimberly Crossland thank you for your feedback! I had not thought about niching down between full-time weekend warriors, both could be new and aspiring RVers and I have provided content specifically for both in my podcast. For example, I had my RV insurance agent on and we specifically addressed the differences between insurance for weekend warriors and full-timers. I will definitely give this some deeper thought. Thank you so much!!!
Celebrating a strong start to 2025!
This week, I’m reflecting on the power of intentional planning—especially when it comes to content creation. Thank so much for sharing this Suzy!! Intentional planning is what I am striving for in 2025. I have struggled so much with consistency, and I see intentional planning as the pathway to consistency and quality content. Thanks for the inspiration!! Lets go!!
Thanks!!
Thanks so much for sharing the 12 days of Christmas tips!!! I am just getting into those and loving them!
My new (and first) newsletter drops tomorrow!
I finally did it! I kicked off my newsletter. I am so excited. I've been wanting to do something like this for a long time. I released it in Substack with @Kimberly Crossland's help. The first edition releases tomorrow at 6am Arizona time. I learned a lot about substack - from categorizing my newsletter, to even just identifying/creating the various images. https://nextchapterstrategies.substack.com/ What am I writing about? I wanted to highlight small grassroots nonprofits and the good they are doing in their community. With all the clickbait out there, and drama taking the large percentage of internet bandwidth, I wanted to really bring these amazing organizations (and positivity) out into the light. I'm adding a twist of providing takeaways for other nonprofits/entrepreneurs to learn from. I know I may be WAY behind compared to the rest of you... I just wanted to celebrate getting this first newsletter out! If you have any tips that you have found you either enjoy about a new letter or find work best on your newsletter - I would love to hear them!
