Website Builders in the House: Humans vs. AI—Who Messes Up Less? 😂💻🏗️"
Is there a website builder in the house? 🏗️ If so, can I get your verdict: human-built website vs. AI-powered website? Like… should I trust actual humans with their coffee-fueled creativity, or let an algorithm do the work while I binge-watch Netflix? 😂💻☕

Good question! I've built websites from scratch and I have some experience using AI website builders. I would say it depends on how hands-on you want to be with creating your website. AI website builders are fast and allow you add functionality with just a few keystrokes but, at least the one I used, can make mistakes with the code and misinterpret what you're asking it to do.
In-person event experience
Hey all, I just did my first in-person event a couple days ago and it was such a wonderful experience! I'm pretty introverted so I wasn't sure what to expect but everybody that came by my table was so kind and supportive. There was one kid in particular who would not let her mom leave without getting my book. It was really encouraging especially since she was the first child, outside of my own children, to read my book! I'm curious to hear about in-person events have gone for others.

I'm sure you'll do just fine reading to children! Children are a fun audience and they can really connect to what you're saying in a way that adults may not always be able to.

Yeah it's a bit of an investment. I only had a table cloth, a handful of books and some bookmarks I made. I'm planning to add a little bit more each time out.
Busy Season, Big Growth, and So Much Excitement!
Hey y’all!! 💛 It has been BUSY over here!! I’ve been working on so many things behind the scenes, and I officially launched my spring book on Tuesday!! 🌸📚 I’m also trying out some new marketing strategies—stepping out, taking risks, and just going for it! I’ll be honest… I feel a little all over the place at times 😅 but at the same time, I am SO excited about this journey and where it’s headed. It’s such a mix of emotions—growth, stretching, learning, and celebrating the small wins along the way. Is anyone else feeling this too?? Are you seeing success or momentum as you keep moving forward? I would LOVE to hear what’s been working for you lately! 🙌 Let’s keep cheering each other on!! 💕

@Bria Freitas You're welcome! Thank you!
Website
Is having an author website a good idea? And what website is recommended or should the publishers set one up? Please comment.

I would definitely recommend having a website. Even just a simple landing page is helpful, but you also scale it to selling your books directly from your website. I'd recommend Canva if you want to build it for free. Wix and Wordpress are pretty user friendly, but have a monthly fee attached to them.
Coloring Books and Activity Books
Calling all children’s book authors: Are you secretly running a side hustle in coloring and activity books too? 😁 If so, please share your experience!" 😉

I'm a soon to be self-published children's book author. I'm a father and an educator and I'm excited to learn and grow along with fellow authors.
