This has been my favourite children’s writing community, so it feels a little sad to say goodbye. I want to thank everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, shared advice with me, answered my questions, and helped me whenever I needed it. I’ve genuinely appreciated the kindness and generosity I’ve experienced here. After giving it some thought, I’ve decided that it’s time for me to leave the community and move on to the next chapter of my own journey. I’ll no longer be posting or interacting in the community after this. I wish every one of you all the very best with your children’s writing journey. Keep writing, keep creating, keep learning, and most of all, keep believing in the stories you want to bring into the world. I sincerely hope your books find their readers and that you achieve the success you’re working towards. I’d love to hear from the parents, grandparents, teachers and children’s authors in this community: what types of activity books do the children in your life enjoy most? 🤔 Do they prefer colouring, puzzles, mazes, word searches, spot-the-difference challenges, drawing prompts, stickers, quizzes, educational games or story-based activities? I’m especially interested in understanding why certain activities hold their attention. Is it the sense of achievement, the opportunity to be creative, the challenge, the characters or simply that the activities are fun? Please share the child’s age as well, as preferences can vary considerably between age groups. Your real-life experiences would be incredibly helpful to me as I develop future children’s activity books. 😊

As your collection of ideas, drafts, research, character profiles, world-building notes and completed manuscripts grows, how do you keep everything organised? - Do you use Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or iCloud? - Do you use software such as Scrivener, Notion, Obsidian or NotebookLM? - Do you have a folder structure that works particularly well? - How do you back everything up to make sure nothing gets lost? I'd love to hear what system you've found works best, especially if you're managing multiple books or series. Any tips, lessons learned or "I wish I'd done this sooner" advice would be greatly appreciated! 😊
