How do you like to pass the open guard when someone has the collar sleeve grip and has foot in the hip and other foot in biceps. With lots of tension ?
I'll post my question here also in the same post (easier to explain). To take the back from mount/gift warp, I only knew Rickson's version (see video with Chris below), but I just saw another version by Henry Akins (video below). I haven't had time to try it yet. What do you think? Is it something you would do, or something Rickson does? Thanks!
Congrats @Alexis de Bretagne and thank you for being a contributor to this community and helping others. Here is a closed guard sweep dilemma for you. Thanks @Chris Burns for showing me the ways of the internet 👊
Review of my new flow ropes I ordered from Winding Rope in Australia. Love this practice. Have you ever tried this? I started with a cheap piece of rope from the hardware store.
I love it. I started a few years ago. Also with a rope from the hardware store. I've mastered quite a few tricks now (there is so many). The process of learning new tricks is interesting. At first, it seems impossible, then you get there, and then it becomes fluid. It's enjoyable to learn new things. I'd like to try it with a heavier rope. Very good for general coordination and the spine.
What's everyone's everyday carry? I had my CHL but let it expire and carry a small knife every once in awhile. Pretty lax gun and knife laws where I live but most places I want to visit and carry ban firearms and have metal detectors.
