Welcome to the community 🙌
If tinnitus has been affecting your focus, sleep, or peace of mind, you’re in the right place. To get started, check out the welcome thread where I explain the goal of this community and how to use everything here to move toward lasting relief and habituation. Please feel free to introduce yourself in the Fun & Chat section. Take a look around, and if you have any questions, you can always message me directly. What’s been the hardest part for you lately, or a small win you’ve had recently? Welcome! Guy. PS - Forgive the belated welcome... 😂 @Mike Ruscica @Brian Walsh @Annie Bauer @Christina Thong @Tara Graham @Oluwagbenga Joloko @Thomas Orhon @Angela Feldhausen

Perception Challenge: What Really Happens to Your Tinnitus?
Your tinnitus is at 5/10. You enter a noisy room with music playing. After 5 minutes, your tinnitus feels like: A. 2/10 B. 5/10 C. 7/10 💭 Think carefully: why does your perception change? (Hint: Your brain prioritizes sound input over internal noise.)

If it's music playing, it's A for me. If It's a loud room with people talking, it goes beyond C. 🤪😬😁
Our Shared (experiences and) Wisdom
What’s one piece of tinnitus advice that didn’t make sense at first… but later turned out to be completely true? Maybe something about: • habituation • spikes • sleep • stress • sound therapy • Or something different... Please share it below 👇 Then, tag someone in this community (using the @ symbol - preferably not me) who often shares helpful insights, so they can add their perspective too. And if someone’s comment really resonates with you, reply to it and build on it. Let’s see what lessons people in this community have discovered along the way. 🤔

Thank you, Guy, for creating this community. I’m brand new here. The only thing I’ve really done is listen through my Bose earbuds to soft acoustic guitar music or a sleep story on the Calm app when I am going to sleep. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad, but it has helped me over the last three years.
