You will never know how you touched someone!
Today I noticed a new Amazon review. I went to check it out. It was from a client I did work 17 years ago. I kept her in my newsletter list. She never replies. You may only wonder who reads what you have to say...Apparently, people do and you won't know what kind of impact on someone's life you did until they decide to share it.

My first library presentation
Finally, a library responded and invited me to present. The librarian was very difficult to deal with and changed the date once which wreaked havoc on my Substack. Finally, the day was yesterday and eight people showed up. I was fine with that as a first experience. It went really well and I was very surprised when she gave me a $200 check! AND told me that she bought six copies for the library!

Questions about AI generated books and copyright
1. How do you copyright an AI generated book? 2. Can you buy a copyright certificate for it? 3. When I asked Google AI if I can copyright an AI generated book it said that the book is public domain. So, when uploading an AI generated book to Amazon do I say that it’s public domain? 4. Is the copyright blurb at the front or back of your book the same for an AI generated book as it is for a human written book? 5. If AI generates the book cover how does that work in terms of complying with copyright? For ex., If I have a graphic designer create a cover for me, I get a license for the images he uses. When AI generates a book cover, how do I know that the image doesn’t use something that should be licensed? Hope that makes sense. I’m don’t understand how AI generates images – like, it has to get the info for the images from somewhere.

@Barb H Right, the search itself doesn't say. The Copyright Office FAQ says a work is protected the moment it is created and registration is voluntary. That means no registration on file doesn't make an image free to use: https://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-general.html

@Barb H Close, though a search match alone doesn't prove who owns it. A match does mean someone else already has that image out there. The Copyright Office says to get permission when in doubt: https://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-fairuse.html
