Flaky coating on OEM headlight
I’ve never seen headlights like this before but a client sent me these pics of OEM headlights she had installed on her 2016 Honda CRV last year. There’s a thin coating that is flaking off. Google says that thin coating is the UV coating. Drawing on the experience here in the group. Will the liquid sandpaper take care of this? Or should I expect to start with 600 grit instead of 1000?

Liquid Sandpaper
One of the reasons that I choose the headlight magic kit over the other options, is because of the liquid Sandpaper. It works so well! Today I restored this Toyota. The first picture is before, the second picture is after applying the liquid magic, and the third picture is after sanding and clear coat. I am amazed at how good the light looks just after using liquid sandpaper, even before sanding!

Nextdoor
Hope everyone is well when you receive this message. I wasnt available to get on zoom with @Andrew Tucker when he discussed how to market and get business through Nextdoor. Is there a video or a recording that can be shared. Id love to learn how to get additional business through Nextdoor.

I posted before and after pictures of a set of headlights I restored today and got a comment of “don’t use these services. For $15 and 15 minutes you can do the same thing”. My reply was (thanks ChatGPT) “Totally true — there are store products out there. The difference is that most of them only clear the surface temporarily. I use a multi-step professional process that removes oxidation more thoroughly and gives longer-lasting clarity. Most customers call me after trying the DIY kits and then not getting the results they wanted.” Someone else came back saying she also did it herself and linked to the Cerakote kit on Amazon. I don’t think I can respond again at this point. I’m confident in the truth and I know I’m doing the right thing. Ironically, my client was 79 years old, was only one headlight so I explained my pricing at the end and told her I wanted to bless her for free today. Which I know is cheaper than the Cerakote kit. LOL Shine brighter!!

Hello friends, Has anyone yet perfected lead generations from Facebook marketplace or any other social media? If so, do you guys mind sharing some knowledge.

I have a Nextdoor page that is generating 2-3 appointments per week for the past three weeks. I take before and after pictures with my phone and use Google Photos to create a collage so I can put the before and after side by side. I then text the client the collage. Two of my customers have created their own recommendation using my pic which is WAY better than me posting. But if I do create a post, I then send the customer the link to the post and ask them to leave a comment. Im waiting on my Google page to be verified.
