I’m confused.
Hey guys. So I just randomly came across Andrew’s content. I decided it fit my skillset and I knew about Nextdoor being a good way to get mowing clients. I assumed this would work for headlight restoration tools I had a couple Nextdoor posts that blew up and a couple that did decent. I got so many jobs. I charged anywhere from $90-$120 and got around 40 jobs. Also got 10 from door knocking. That all of a sudden stopped working whatsoever for some reason (thinking my account got restricted). I’ve gotten 4 from that in the past 4 months and 1 from door knocking. In total I have made around 5k and spent about 600 on equipment and 500 on FB ads that got me know where. I’m pretty fortunate to get that good run but I’m lost on what to do at the moment because it slowed down so all of a sudden.

I had the same thing: lots of people coming from nextdoor a few months ago but for the past few weeks almost nothing. I believe it is just the time of year. With Christmas so close most people are not concerned about spending money on their headlights. That doesn't mean there's no clients anywhere, I just believe nextdoor is not as good during this time of year.
Clientele troubles
What’s up guys, Another struggle story. So I had a few ppl message me interested in my services & I got as far as receiving vehicle information. But once I replied back with my price for their specific vehicle type. They stopped responding. I’m not sure what I’m suppose to do in order to land clients. Especially here in California I don’t see anyone agreeing to a price above $80-$100 for headlight restoration. @Andrew Tucker any insight you can provide or some guidance?

If you aren't having any success online, start trying to sell in person. Walk up to people in parking lots, explain what you do, and ask if they are interested. You could also go door-to-door. If people think it is too expensive, you might have to reduce prices for a little bit. When I first started I was only charging $45. Now that I've got some experience, I'm charging $75 to $100 with no problems. Even if you're doing it for $45, you're still making a pretty good profit. Materials don't cost that much and the whole process takes an hour or less.
Liquid Sandpaper
One of the reasons that I choose the headlight magic kit over the other options, is because of the liquid Sandpaper. It works so well! Today I restored this Toyota. The first picture is before, the second picture is after applying the liquid magic, and the third picture is after sanding and clear coat. I am amazed at how good the light looks just after using liquid sandpaper, even before sanding!

Ford Escape update
Thanks to everyone who left comments and advice for the Ford Escape. You guys were right, the light was pretty difficult. I spent a long time sanding. In the end, it turned out good and the client was happy with the results. She was glad that I could restore her headlights because she didn't want to pay Ford to replace them. She left a nice comment on my post.

@Nandy Rodriguez scroll down to my post 3 days before this one titled "Ford Escape". Lots of people commented good advice on how to approach this job. I will admit it was harder than the average headlight. I would only do it if they are willing to pay more than you usually charge
Acquiring Customers Pt. 2
Hey guys, Here I go with another post wondering how to acquire new customers. I did my own research, watched Andrew’s video, made flyers & been passing them out, made Nextdoor & Facebook posts. But I am still struggling with acquiring customers. Obviously the weather in California has been pretty bad lately but with this down time I should be focusing on acquiring new customers or booking new customers for days when the weather permits to do the work. But I have no clients. If anyone can share their knowledge that’ll be great. & if we can potentially get an updated video on this topic with more in depth steps that would be great. Thanks again in advance.

@Anthony Lopez on nextdoor I like to mix it up. Sometimes I post just before/after photos. Sometimes I just post text. You can ask chat gtp to write something for you and use that.

@Alek Babayev both. I post on a personal and business account. I think I've had more success from personal though
