The other day I tried this super simple mindfulness practice totally by accident: I just laid back on my couch, looked up at the sky through my front with, and started tracing the outline each cloud in my mind. Slowly. One at a time. Suddenly, I was taking a big, deep sigh and I could feel my body relax, I unclenched my jaw and I was feeling so content and chill. It reminded me of Yoga Nidra. Kind of like annamayakosha when we move our awareness carefully, piece by piece. Except instead of scanning my toes or shoulders, I was scanning fluffy sky-puffs drifting overhead 😂☁️. I realized mindfulness isn't always this big, formal thing. Sometimes it’s as small as paying attention to the ordinary stuff around us. Spontaneous "Micro-Meditations", if you will. They can be just as powerful and replenishing. So I’m curious! What’s your version of “cloud watching”? What small, sneaky mindfulness practices do you bring into your day? Drop them below... I’d love to steal some new ideas 😉 —Cat 🌙 P.S. I also want to welcome our newest members, since my last post we've had twenty-one beautiful souls join us in our Yoga Nidra neck of the woods.
