Trumpistan, Epsteinezuela, and being a very stable genius. And gratitude.
I wish I was as articulate as many of you in this group. I have a medical condition that creates a lot of brain fog, and it is so frustrating. Additionally, I have a great deal of gratitude for this group. I know so little about Isreal, Iran, and that part of the world. You are teaching me so much, And I can feel your passion, your love for your countries. Especially the very real prospects of liberty and (hopefully) peace. I love my country as well, and that love is one of my shields against the Trump administration. We may not even be occupied by military force, but there are so many other ways that regime can rodger Canada. In fact it has already started. Armin, you are a joy to listen to, as you speak so well. There are many others I could name as well. Today, my head was up my ass with some facts and some things I just couldn't remember. Perhaps this is more to the point I wanted to make about Trump. 1) E Jean Carroll was sexually assaulted by Trump. I said he raped her. And a judge agreed: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/07/19/trump-carroll-judge-rape/ 2) Trump is a sexual predator: https://19thnews.org/2023/10/donald-trump-associates-sexual-misconduct-allegations/.There is simply too much smoke about for there not to be fire. It will come out. I am certain of this if the full Epstein files are released, and the only redactions protect the young girls. How many of you have daughters? 3) Trump's great business acumen drives US economic decisions: God help them: https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/donald-trumps-13-biggest-business-failures-59556/.and https://www.aol.com/every-trump-business-went-bankrupt-133407666.html But he'll turn it around as he is a very stable genius.

Oh I had no idea that you lived up here. Are you still in the country? I hear you about Canada and health care etc cf USA. We have a well developed reflex about the USA, being such a relatively small and insignificant country on the world stage. That's our inferiority complex. But I hope in the future to discuss why Canada is now beginning change that domestically and internationally we are beginning to punch above our weight class. Where did you live in Canada? The name Spivak is very familiar to me, as the Spivak family was well known in political circles. Sid was the leader of the Conservatives in Manitoba, and Mirs was a federal senator. I have to laugh, we always try to find connections. Those 6 %'s of separation.

Thanks for this reply. I feel for you and the lack of safety you mention. I have heard this on social media and the news. It's not the same in sleepy Victoria, the land that time forgot. My Jewish friends are comfortable here, or so they say. As for Canada, your opinion of the country is more realistic than mine, to be honest. When I was a kid, we were known as peacekeepers, Cyrprus for example. And in the years since, we've allowed ourselves to be overshadowed by the US giant. Having Trump in office has been a wakeup call. I need to get to higher status on skool before I can chat with you. I am a 3 and I need to get to a 6. Maybe see you tomorrow. Off to a hockey game.
Might be a solution.....
As Canada is but 26 kms from Greenland, we need a solution to the Trump's expansionism. Will this work?
Might be a solution.....

What kind of pain? The physical pain that we all experience acutely or, in my case chronically...for the past 20 years? For me, I have had to accept that I will have such pain until death. When I denied pain, it affected me emotionally and that was another kind of pain. I know less about existential pain, which might be what you are asking about Torah. It is highly personal and for me, I found that some of the answers came from the study of Buddhism. I have said before that I don't consider Buddhism to be a religion, but a philosophy. Partly becuse it doesn't demand one foresake one'e previous religion. I practise with many devout Christians and Jews. I would love to find a muslim buddhist group. Societal pain and the individual. For this I would love to hear from Israelis and Iranians. Up here in the Great White North, the greatest amount of societal pain rests with the indigenous peoples, and whenever possible I do my very best to listen. We could all listen more and talk less. So after this wordy post I won't talk any more and listen.
Iran in the news
Every morning I watch the Canadian news. Today, the current situation in Iran was covered for the first time. That means more people will know about it and more people internationally will suport the Iraniam people. That's a win!

Agree with your comments. The news didn't go into the detail as you point out. Still, for CDN eyes, many of whom are in the dark, this was a lumen or two.

I don't think I will attend today's discussion. Slept about 3 hours. Done like dinner. Likely tomorrow.
This video to Trump and Netanyahu was just sent to me from a woman in Iran.
Her message: "We, the peace-loving people of Iran, support Prince Reza Pahlavi. Thank you, Trump. Thank you, BiBi (Netanyahu).” She holds a sign mentioning Trump and Netanyahu, asking them not to let the regime kill the Iranian people and stating that the Iranian people want King Reza Pahlavi.
