What's the craziest cold call opener you used so far? The best one will be featured in one of my videos :)))

@Maxime M thanks! Would love to hear your perspective on why “I promise” makes you sound less professional.

How do I self train
Might be a stupid question but how do you train cold call alone, at the moment all of my friends are busy focusing on other thing so they cant help me, prospect/leads are very limited as in my profession (financial consultants) you only get phone numbers by referrals from client and of course, without a good cold call = no client I was thinking of using chatgpt plus as it has the calling feature Thanks in advance

@Nam Dao I use chatgpt all the time to test scripts but make sure you give it the right persona. Don't just make it general. I also write down the most frequent objections I tend to get and than I record myself going through my own script. When I rewatch it I can see where I need to make changes and or improve
Client Disappears After the First Call
It happens to me quite often: I make an initial contact that seems to go well, we agree to continue our conversation on a specific day, but when I call back, they don’t answer. Is there any advice that might help with this?

Can I ask what your follow up system looks like between calls?
Re-engaging after ghosted
How would you re-engage a prospect after being ghosted, but starts showing signals they are interested again months after?

@Winston Henderson Is this reengagement through email or a call?

@Winston Henderson oh loveeee me some HubSpot tracking tools lol so for emails I cycle between these few subject lines and it tends to spark a reply. 1. Checking in: should I send search party 2. Is this thing on? Taps mic” 3. My boss thinks I scared you off 4. Was it something I said? 5. Breaking news: I’m still here and ready to chat 3 and 4 get pretty good open rates for me and my niches
What if you’re just not in the mood, push or pass?
When do you call it a day, even just after getting started? Sometimes your mood is just f@&ked up and you’re radiating bad energy….,you’ve planned to call at least 50 leads this day, but even your dog looks at you with a “do’nt talk to me face”. The first couple of calls you realize everything about your pitch and intonation is just not like the good days. Is this the time to stop calling or just push through? And when quitting is no option for you…how do you get yourself in a positive flow?

So I’ve built my self something called a “fun” list. These are my clients that absolutely love us. I do it as a check in and once I’ve done 3-4 checkins with them and get a good smile or a laugh or two in I get the Cold calling list out and go at it. I also shoot for a certain number of appointments set a day so I try to make the go a positive outcome and not just an amount I have to get through.

@Morgan Mccauley I’m still a solo show at my company so I’m the jack of all trades. When I did have appointment setters with my previous company before we sold it, we would record their calls for training and quality purposes and one of the things I asked her to do was to pin 2-3 of the recordings where they did such and amazing job or the call turned into something more than just a scripted call. So when we met for our daily morning meeting if we sensed someone was in that headspace we would ask them to stay after on the zoom call or if they were in person to stay in the room and we would just play those calls back for them. We didn’t say anything to them just started playing it for them and than at the end of it we made some to give them some positive affirmation or something to help. Sorry that was super long but hope that made sense and helped
