How do you overcome all the friction in your circle?
Hey there, I'm seeking advice from those of you that went through the same difficulties as I do. For those who don't know me, I'm an 18 year old wanna-be entrepreneur with great ambitions in life but in need of guidance. I've realized that what slows me down the most and gets me feeling stuck is the friction overload in my circle... WHAT do I mean by that you ask? Well, to put it simply: I feel like no one in close circle of family and friends believes and encourages me to pursue in this dream of mine of helping people through a business. I get a lot of discouragement: "you aren't meant for it", "it's for those who are extremely intelligent", "it's too risky, you need a corporate job protected against the replacement of AI" or even "I don't see you going in the streets offering services". Yes, I don't particularly want to go door to door and ask if I can rake leaves or mow the lawn, not because I'm lazy or I don't have the drive, simply because it took me a lot of time to find my purpose and I didn't get it until recently; when I started pushing this idea of me not going down the traditional route even more. And now, I have this constant vision in my head, a full business idea that I started researching on even if I'm not technically going door to door or in schools pitching my idea (because I'm still questionning myself and setting clear systems; that takes time) 😅 SO my question is: how do you deal with that and keep moving forward with all this pressure and negativity? For those of you who relate to this or have gone through, how did you manage? Do you really believe you have to be meant for entrepreneurship? Or can you push through if you have a vision and act accordingly even if you don't have anything but this given vision, the right mindset and will to act? I welcome any advice, Amélien

@Mia Thompson First of all, thank you for those kind words and intention to help. I would be interested to get any help I can get. However, I do not know who you are or what you do at all, what's the value you provide and in exchange of what. I can share my instagram instead, if you'd be willing to further discuss there, more neutral...

@Mia Thompson Do you have any other social platform or even adds so that I can learn more about you. I don't want to seem distant or cold, I REALLY appreciate any help it's just that we have to stay safe of scams these days on the internet. No shame. I'd be willing to share my email then 😊
"The Only Thing I Know is That I Know Nothing" - Socrates
We live in a time where there is more opportunity to learn, grow and connect than ever before in History. While that may sound like the best thing ever, it can get overwhelming to many (if not all), especially for those of my generation, Gen Z. I feel like everything around me is moving so quickly (like AI) that I can't keep up with it. My brain is overloaded with information, the majority of which I can not truly grasp... Which is why the more I learned, the more I feel like "The only thing I know is that I know nothing", just like Socrates. Now, I may not have even half of his wisdom but I do get something. Something it took me a long time to understand when the answer was right in front of me this whole time: There will NEVER be another time like the present. It won't be easier, and things will not be magically better if I keep saying "I'll do it tomorrow" or "I need to 100% confident and ready". SO by joining this community as well as taking concrete action, I am thinking "screw overthinking, let's just see what happens 😅". My name is Amélien Verheyden, I am an 18 years old normal guy from Canada with great ambitions but no clear direction. I have this gut feeling that I can thrive in business, in helping people, but there are too many unknowns for now. STILL, I decided to take action before being ready. My purpose here and during the Summit is to invest in myself as that is the best investment that I can make. I may not yet know when or how I will apply in my life the concepts I am going to learn here but, I'm only striving to get BETTER. Which is why I humbly ask for your advice if you are willing to share it, as I know I have much to learn from the many successful like-minded people that are in a position I desire. So let us all show solidarity and pull each other up! 😊 Amélien

@Erik Hall Hi Erik, I would say that I got my entrepreneurial drive and vision quite recently even though finding my purpose was a long progress. I think what helped me the most was my re-connection to my faith even though I'm still terrified of all the doubts, hate and unknown that will come with it. So for now, I'm just reinforcing my mindset, installing life-long systems to grow and learning about myself and my future career. I have this very clear business vision but it feels like no one believes in me (see more in my new post) but it is so strong that I feel like God gave me this mission for a reason, almost like I have no choice to follow it 😊
Think for yourself and verify….
Hey Community, I read a post in a community that made six points. Immediately, I asked myself I wonder if that’s true? What would have taken me 10-15 minutes to check and cross reference, ChatGPT did in a matter of two seconds. 1 point was accurate 3 points partially accurate 2 points in accurate/untrue What stood out to me in the results was the fact that ChatGPT referenced that some of the information, even though inaccurate, is widely spread or shared online. This immediately Jarred, my memory in reference to a wealth conference I attended in person approximately 17 years ago. And the speaker at that conference made this statement,” Whether the information is true, or not, if someone says something often enough and loud enough people will begin to accept it as fact!!” And then he repeated his statement, but this time said it a little more slowly, Whether - the - information - is true - or not - if someone - says - something - often enough - and loud enough - people - will begin - to accept it as fact!!” I am not an expert or a guru ( NO, the post was not from either and it was not from a leader in this community), but I do have a lot of life experiences and knowledge, that being said this is just something for you to consider and think about ( in my humble opinion), AI and technology is without a doubt, a powerful tool – understatement, and we are living in a fast paced world, and things are moving quickly, but let’s not forget about the basics and let’s continue to use our own minds and consider – or reconsider any and all information that we read or that is presented to us. Let’s not become so lackadaisical that we accept anything that we read or hear as truth or fact, without verifying its accuracy.!!!!

@G M I found that giving Chat GPT clear instructions and always correcting it when it doesnt follow them to be of great help when doing research. I have put a very detailed prompt into gpt's settings to make it give me the sources, cite authors and experts correctly, cross reference and stay focused in facts so that I know I get real information. However, I agree that you gotta remember to always think for yourself based on evidence and doubt when it feels off, not trust blindy. Hope that helps!
⏳ What Would We Do With 10 Extra Hours a Week?
What would we do with 10 extra hours a week? It is a simple question, but it reveals something important about how we think about work, life, and AI. Most of us say we want to save time, but we rarely stop to define what saved time is actually for. We chase efficiency, clear inboxes faster, shorten tasks, and automate small pieces of work, yet we often spend the reclaimed time filling it back up with more noise. That is why this question matters. Ten extra hours a week is not just a productivity gain. It is margin. It is attention. It is space to choose instead of react. Over the course of a year, that is more than 500 hours we could redirect toward better work, better health, stronger relationships, deeper thinking, or real recovery. When we look at AI through that lens, the goal becomes much bigger than doing tasks faster. The goal is getting time back in a way that actually improves how we live and work. In most teams, time does not disappear in one dramatic place. It leaks out through rework, delayed decisions, context switching, unnecessary meetings, scattered information, and first drafts that take too long to start. We lose hours not because we are lazy or uncommitted, but because modern work is full of friction. AI has value because it can reduce that friction. It can help us move from blank page to useful draft faster. It can summarize, organize, brainstorm, and accelerate decisions. It can shrink cycle time on the kind of work that quietly drains our week. But the deeper opportunity is not just operational. It is personal. What would we do with those 10 hours if we truly earned them back? Some of us would invest them in strategic thinking instead of staying trapped in execution mode. Some would use them to build better systems so future work takes less time. Some would finally document processes, mentor teammates, or learn the skills that reduce future dependency and rework. Others would use those hours outside work entirely, to rest, exercise, be present with family, or simply think without interruption. All of those are valid. In fact, that is the point. Time saved only becomes valuable when it is redirected intentionally.

I will be honest, time management is an issue for me not because I don't like to work, but because my ambitions far exceeds my knowledge of what I have to do daily to progress in all my endeavors; school and business more specificly. I'm still very young so I do not have a clear path ahead but if I had (or to be precise, when I WILL get) those 10 extra hours a week, I would use it to learn more about market strategies and macroeconomy in general. I feel like starting broad would definitely help in any line of business related job in the future. 😊
