“I’m not trying to make friends. I’m trying to make money.”
You know that quote from Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary? What's your reaction when you read that? Are you here for money only? Here's my take: Some of us aren’t here JUST to make money. I'm trying to make both. Money and mission should not be ennemies. I want to get paid to do work that means something, with people who actually respect it. I'm here to build something honest, and work with people who get it. Of course, not every client needs to become a soulmate, but am I building a business where I have to put on a mask just to sell? Nah... I want ease. Respect. Creative freedom. Real results. All of this starts with being honest about what I offer, how I work, and why it matters. You don’t need to fake authority. You don’t need to shout louder. You just need a message that reflects your real value, without faking who you are. That’s how you attract the right clients. The ones who respect your process. Pay your worth. And stay. If that makes me “too soft” for IG / Linkedin, hustle bros, I'm fine with it. I’m not here to scale. I’m here to help and serve, while being paid well doing it. What's your mission?

@Sylvain Zyssman thank you for this... I think it's such a common challenge for so many entrepreneurs. We launch a business because we are passionate about something. We care about it, we're great at it, we are committed to helping others. And somehow, it feels "wrong" to demand to be paid well for the value we provide. Making money and working with people who light us up are not mutually exclusive. Loving your people and creating deep relationships aren't a trade off for being undeniably profitable. I used to share that my intention was to make $10Million in my business, because I have big things I am meant to do in this world, and it's going to require $10M to do it. And now I realize... that was me thinking small. :)
You don’t need louder. You need truer.
What I was building LOOKED right, but didn’t FEEL right. I used to think success meant having the cleanest funnel, the most structured calendar, or the most “valuable” offer. I studied what top creators were doing. I stacked automations. I planned out every step. And yeah, on paper, it looked tight. But… Even with all that in place, I felt off. I was not burnt out. I just felt... disconnected. Like I was building what I thought I should build. Not what I actually believed in. And that disconnect leaks into everything: → How you show up → How you price → How confident you sound when you explain your work The breakthrough wasn’t more strategy. It wasn’t better branding or tighter copy. It was rebuilding from a place of truth, not pressure. Building something I could say out loud, clearly and calmly, even when no one was clapping. I’m sharing this because I know some of you are in the messy middle: - Rewriting your bio (again) - Questioning your niche (again) - Wondering if you should just start over (again) You don’t need louder. You need truer. That’s the game now. And once that lands? Everything else gets easier. Just something I wish I had heard earlier...
You don’t need louder. You need truer.

@Mark Zammit oooh... market obsession! Love that! How's that going? What kind of questions are you asking as you dive into who they are?
Make it Yours, Make it Memorable
I was scrolling through a community feed, and I couldn't help but notice - every post felt like it could’ve been written by a bot. I know, it probably wasn't. But it felt like it. And it felt that way because it felt ... generic. I honestly didn't feel like I could kick off my shoes and hang out for a while. And my Brand brain started to twitch. Because, that is a Brand misstep that costs people money. You don't have to use AI to come across as flat and sterile. People have been hiding behind their content way longer than AI has been around. Look - people come to your community because they connect with you. Or they come to get what you offer and through that, they have a chance to get to know you. When they do, they need to feel like walking into your living room - somewhere that is yours and feels like you, not a sterile waiting room. What about your posts, are we feeling you in them? Do they help us connect with you? Do we get a sense of closeness to you, that we could make a pretty good guess of what would be on a bookshelf in your home, or if you spend your free time doing jigsaw puzzles or working out. (I am totally a jigsaw puzzle person and you're totally welcome to join me!) If not, it will be harder for people to connect with you, trust you, and ascend with you to the next level. And that makes everyone lose. I know - it takes a little more time. And it requires us to be a little bit brave to share some of ourselves. But in the end, you, and how you connect with others, is worth it. Plus, it's what Legends do.

@Sylvain Zyssman sometimes I wish puzzles had a place like Lego/Bricks where you could go find the exact pieces you need without having to buy a whole new set. Wonder if you could 3d print something that could work? Do you ever share your love of puzzles in your touchpoints? I know you do group cooking here, do you ever invite your clients or potential clients? Any other "spare time" adventures that you share with your people?

@Ren Tyler very much so :) I have two Aussie shepherds, and they are so smart. I mean, crazy smart, too smart for their own good. And yet... an octopus would still probably out think both of them.
Next baking session is scheduled 🥧
We'll be baking together, with @The Skool Cat's community, on Sunday, March 2nd, 5PM CET :) We'll bake a Tarte Tatin (caramelized apple pie) and some chocolate moelleux (check pics ^^) Recipes are easy to follow and don't need many ingredients or material. The pie dough can be bought for easier/faster process, I'll bake mine beforehand and leave the recipe here too. Just buy the ingredients and I'll guide you through the recipes process live 😊 Tarte tatin's ingredients: - 1 puff pastry - Golden (or Fuji) Apples: 1 kg → 2.2 lbs (about 4-5 medium apples, depending on size) - Butter: 100 g → 7 tablespoons (or ½ cup minus 1 tbsp) - Sugar: 200 g → 1 cup -> 1 pie pan Chocolate moelleux' ingredients (for 6 people): - Flour: 75 g → ⅔ cup - Powdered sugar: 125 g → 1 cup - Butter: 175 g → ¾ cup + 1 tbsp - Chocolate: 250 g → 8.8 oz (or about 1½ cups of chopped chocolate or chips) - Eggs: 5 -> 6 individual ramekins -or a big one-) For the real OG who want to bake their own puff pastry (I'll do mine :) ) WARNING: it takes a long time, and is not easy - Flour: 180 g → 1 ½ cups (T55 is similar to all-purpose flour) - Fine salt: 5 g → 1 teaspoon - Cold water: 128-132 g → ½ cup + 1 to 2 teaspoons - Tourage butter: 120 g → ½ cup + 1 tbsp (If you can’t find tourage butter, use a high-fat European-style butter like Plugrá, Président, or Kerrygold) Process Equipment Needed: - A stand mixer with a dough hook (optional) - A rolling pin - Parchment paper or a Silpat baking mat Preparing the Dough (Détrempe) Mix the flour, salt, and water at low speed in the stand mixer. Adjust the amount of water as different flours absorb water differently. The dough should form a ball but should not be sticky. Stop the mixer just before the ball is fully formed and finish kneading by hand. The goal is not to develop too much gluten in the puff pastry dough. (This step can also be done entirely by hand, reducing the risk of overworking the dough, making it an excellent alternative.)

@Lonie Chapman that sounds absolutely lovely! A full English Breakfast is still one of my favorite events :) Ramen is absolutely incredible. Between that and Pho, they are my go to soups. Plus, they're great when I don't feel well (move over chicken noodle soup!) You can still have birthday cake - it's never to late for cake! I hope you had a great birthday weekend!
