BHRT with fibroid
Hi all, I’m new here. I’ve been monitoring hormones for almost 1 year. I had to rule out a few other odd health things before beginning HRT. I’m now ready to do so and found out I have a very small fibroid that has never given me trouble. My naturopath says she doesn’t think I should take estrogen since it can feed fibroids 🙄. I’ve been deep diving and found that other women have been using estrogen even with fibroids. Does anyone here have experience with this? TIA

I have multiple fibroids and just started BHRT a couple weeks ago. So far no problem.
Don’t tell me “you’re fine, you’ll get through this”! 🤬
Forgot to introduce myself. 49 yr old mom of 2 adult children. I’m pretty sure I’ve been experiencing perimenopause for 3 years. Thought I had wan autoimmune disease. I Love working out and strength training, I use it for mental health and of course to look and feel good. I got to a point where I not only lack motivation, but can’t recover properly and feel weak and fatigued. This is soul crushing to me! Everyone keeps telling me I’m just getting older and it’s normal. Nope! It doesn’t change over night like that! I hate not feeling like myself and not feeling good, all while doing all the things that are supposed to make me feel good. I’m not gonna roll over and take it! If I can do something about this, why wouldn’t I??? So don’t tell me this is normal and every woman gets through it and I will too! …ok, rant over. Thanks for listening.

Keep fighting and advocating for yourself! You definitely do not have to suffer through this. It’s maddening these docs aren’t educated! It’s not ok for us women to basically decay internally when there is evidence based treatment available. You’re not alone 💜
Testosterone and dopamine
Can low testosterone cause low dopamine and melatonin?

Hi! Kaylyn actually just did a really great list of all the symptoms of low T on IG yesterday. Was eye opening! Here’s a link to the post…I hope it works. https://www.instagram.com/p/DSBcC5wkcAi/?igsh=emFocm0weDJ5Y256
Supplements
Who here is taking Saw Palmetto, L-theanine and/or L-Glutamine? I want to know if anyone has experienced side effects when starting them, what effects and how long they lasted. I have a sensitive stomach and I’m leery to try. Thanks

@Lindsey Stanczak I’m also taking the Elevate Saw Palmetto and haven’t had any side effects and no weight gain.
Estradiol Cycling
Hi all. My gyn finally admitted I’m in perimenopause base off my labs that were very low despite my lengthy list of symptoms. She kept pushing me to stay on BC (which I had stopped 2 weeks prior to labs) which clearly was not helping nor what I need. She put me on Estradiol patch to wear for 2 weeks mid cycle then remove for my period. I’m still confused how this is actually going to help and still waiting to see what my body does not being on BC. Haven’t started this yet cause I’m still waiting for my period to figure out when this “mid cycle” will be. Any insight or thoughts on this? Also didn’t put me on progesterone (still have my uterus) said if I still have a period I don’t need it🤷🏻‍♀️… Frustrating

@Nathalie Nybratt oh I did…threw the latest research at her, explained all my symptoms…it got spicy for a moment. I definitely advocated for myself. This was the middle ground. She wasn’t going to do anything. Just very frustrating. I have an appointment with an actual peri/menopause specialist but it’s not till May cause she’s good and that far booked out. Just goes to show the extreme lack of education on this subject.
