Ski helmet
Hey all, it's been a looooong time since I've shared anything. I've seen a lot of great work here and it's inspiring me to post again. This is a helmet I made solely in Plasticity. For the renderings I used Nano Banana. This helmet is being manufactured now and should hit the stores next season. :-)

@K N I used only Plasticity for the CAD and for the renderings I used Nano Banana.

Actually to clarify. I’m just the industrial designer. Once I made the CAD to communicate my design I send it (an STEP file) over to the factory where their R&D team tweaked it for tooling and testing. I am not sure what engineering software they use.
Blender Sculpt
Concept sculpt from a polygon model blockout. Created with Blender using some of the hardsurface brushes: scrape, trim, flatten and crease polish.

Oooo, cool surface transitions. As a clay sculptor this looks like a fun project to sculpt!

@Mike P I'm a Zbrush guy myself. Haven't tried the sculpting in Blender yet.
Audi RS E-tron GT
Finally finished a quite long and a bit painful course by Kuechmeister Swagger (available on Patreon 40 tutorials of 45 min each in avarage). I wanted to try something more advanced using Studio features. And honestly it really was not easy for me. I learnt a lot new techniques because there was a huge amount of material. However it is not actually a traditional course but more like master class. This was a downside I struggle the most and had to solve problems of misunderstanding. I mean in many places the author didn't explain his intentions and advantages of his approach. If you compare amount of explanations in Nikita course then you will find only 10% of what should have been explained for E-tron but haven't. So I 100% won't recommend the course for beginners 'cause it definitely will be hard even for intermediate level. But for advanced users it is a good choice to level up skills. XNurbs, Square and Align commands are widely used, also Deform - a couple of last lessons. Here is an interactive model sharing (can be slow on laptop, so it better to disable Render mode) https://share.plasticity.xyz/r/PioAKq4BAeiLlB8SyRyBoAIT-UE0J9d3s8rHOgAY06E

Wow, great review AND great job on the Audi. Yeah after going through many tutorials I’ve to really appreciate the lengths Nikita goes to in explaining the how’s & why’s.
Looking at which courses to buy
I'm just looking for some general advice on some of Nakita's courses. I'd love to buy the Everything bundle, but that's not currently something that I can afford. So moving into what I can afford, I've been looking at the Surface Modeling Ultimate Bundle. I am new to Plasticity but not new to 3d modelling. I've been using Blender off and on since 2.6 and a bunch of others like Silo and Lightwave3d. The only other nurb modeller I would say I'm somewhat competent in is FreeCAD. I'm just wondering if the surface modelling bundle would be frustrating to try without a super solid background in Plasticity. I've been watching all of Nakita's youtube videos and with others I don't feel as though I'm a complete noob at Plasticity. Just looking for feedback.

Hey there. Imho, plasticity was made for creatives, like people who make game assets as oppose to engineers, and so the learning is pretty low. Nakita's tutorials are a great resource for sure. When you watch tutorials on YouTube you'll find Nakita does a really good job of explaining the tools and theories behind surfacing. IMO if you were to do all of Nikita's free tutorials you will quickly get up to speed with plasticity. Then purchase in depth tutorials that match what you plan on making: organic objects or mechanical.
Introduction post!
Hi everyone! I'm Abhik, a 20 year old industrial design student based in Ahmedabad, India. I discovered plasticity and Nikita's courses earlier this year, and now I'm happy to be part of this community. My setup is nothing special: my M2 MacBook Pro, Portronics Hydra 10, Logitech M650L, a whole lotta junk to keep the creative juices flowing! I hope to be able to get a monitor soon by freelancing here and there, which is why I'm focused on improving my form development, CAD modelling and visualisation skills. Excited to learn from all of you!

Welcome aboard! I'm a 61yr old industrial designer. I have used many CAD/CAID software and Plasticity has been a game changer for me. Good luck!
