What is a good month for you to attend a skate party?
We just celebrated our 2-year anniversary in business at SK8SHOT this weekend, and we had a fantastic time.🥳 It was awesome meeting all of you in person; thank you for making the trip! As we plan for next year's party, I'm wondering what a good month would be for everyone to attend a skate party?🛼 Comment on which month would be best for you to take a weekend skate trip.

Summer-ish months (may - septemeber) or end of year (nov/ dec) and a time that's near other holidays - makes it easier to plan days to travel.
Let’s talk skates! Current set vs. dream skates
1. What are you rolling on these days? 2. If you could upgrade, what would you choose (within reason)? 3. Extra credit: if you could have any skates, what would it be? **Bonus points if you post pics! I’ll put my answers in the comments section…And, GO!

1. Riedell 220s, powerdyne arius plate and von merlin 99as. 2. My current setup is the upgrade, but I was told the 336s are the boots to go for so, if i were to upgrade, that's what I'd do. 3. I like riedells, but in an ideal world id also have a pair of skates from von merlin, wifa, and edea. Id love to be able to try all the main boots for free lol
For the intermediate skaters, what do you wish you had known or started out doing when you were a beginner?
I wish I’d learned groundwork right off the bat for strengthening and stretching. Weight distribution and edges are also something that are so foundational and didn’t come online until recently. And lastly, how to use my arms!

Edges. I also wish I knew how much the plate and cushions made a difference. It was like night and day after I changed my cushions

@Jay Griffin Riedell 120s are decent boots, especially if they are suiting your needs. I think equipment does make a difference but really only if there's something tool specific holding you back when you already have built the skillset. For example, before I moved to 220s, I was using moxi beach bunnies on the stock plate (I had never skated before and they were a good starting boot for me at a price point that made sense). I saw soooo much improvement when I finally changed my cushions on the bunnies - suddenly became smooth on wheels that day. I also felt like my setup was heavy so when I switched to the 220-arius setup, which is lighter, it made it easier for me to move my feet cause the setup wasn't as heavy and that brought with it more improvement. My bunnies also had too much space in the shoe so obviously the more tailored fit helped things too.

@Toi MissToi aw man. What boots do you use now?
Arius Plate Cushions
Hi. Does anyone else have a powerdyne arius plate? I recently switched to this plate (all yellow-green - 86A) and have just switched my front cushions to white (80A). Curious if y'all could share your cushion setup and what kind of skating you do / what you found helpful to find a cushion setup that works (e.g. are you replacing only one cushion at a time? etc.) My plan is to just keep adjusting down until I find a good balance. I only have stock colours, but will buy some more options soon.
