The "Day 1" Automation
If you’re walking into a mid-market company with zero automation infrastructure, where are you deploying the first n8n workflow?

In my opinion the first thing n8n workflows or any AI automation workflow are suppose to do is to handle works consisting a hefty amount of repetitive work, so for a mid-market company, i would deploy a lead intaking cum qualifying cum routing workflow, because apart from this much of other work can be done manually at this level. good wishes!!!
Am I solving a real problem or wasting my time? Honest opinions needed
Hey everyone 👋 Working on something for Indian healthcare clinics and need honest feedback from builders here. THE PROBLEM: When a dental clinic misses a patient call — nothing happens. No follow-up. No WhatsApp. Patient books the next clinic. Revenue gone. From my research, 5-8 missed calls daily is common and most leads just go cold with zero follow-up. MY SOLUTION (not delivered yet — still idea stage): Auto WhatsApp sent within 5 minutes of every missed call. Patient replies. Appointment booked. Zero manual work for the clinic. VALIDATION SO FAR: Called 10 clinics — 5 had zero follow-up system. Dentists confirmed "leads go cold." Zero paying clients. Still building. PRICING: ₹8,000/month self-serve — no sales calls needed. MY QUESTIONS: Is this a real problem worth building? WhatsApp vs Voice AI — which works better for India? Is ₹8,000/month the right price for Indian clinics? And how did you get your first 3 clients? Brutal honesty welcome. Even if it's "stop building this." Thanks 🙏 — Kumar

Great idea Krishna !!! In my opinion its a pretty fair price for the service "in general". But as an Indian, REALISTICALLY i can say this system does not have huge potential. see here people always go to the dentist whom they know personally or if they or their family members are a regular patient of such doctor. So majority of cold leads have no potential anyways, you can't fix the problem with just a simple follow back system like this. Instead what you can do is to build a system which can give follow back to existing customers as a reminder of their dental health and regular check-ups and what can be the future health consequences of failing to do so. and also you can later add additional info like how much discount can the clinic provide if they also came refer the clinic to their family and friends. Good wishes!!

@Naveen Kumar Totally agree, and we can even add a google review feature in the follow back system. where after the treatment, patients will receive a link for google review of the clinic and clinics can even offer a discount on future visits to the patient for adding a review. in this way clinics can both get reviews along, and the patients are more likely to visit next time to redeem the free discount coupon. In this way the clinics can automatically increase recurring customer rate. @Kumar Krishna Hey man this idea could have a huge potential, let me know if you ever need any kind of help building this, i am always open for it!
what's your biggest bottleneck right now
not theory, not what you think it should be. what's actually slowing you down the most right now - outreach, offer, niche, closing, or something else entirely? drop it below

Closing is rather easy for me, but personally i love to explore new and more complex systems and ideas. and to be honest trying to sell same basic automation templates takes all the fun out of this game. So in my case the biggest bottle neck is to find new interesting ideas which also have the potential to be sold for a decent value. Good wishes!!
Manual prompting or prompting with AI?
Greetings everyone! well, every time i write the prompt for system message for the AI agent. I frequently came with the question that should i do prompting with chatbots like chat gpt and gemini or should i do the prompting myself. because whenever i tried to copy paste the prompts from chat gpt, the output prompt has always some kind of issue that causes my agent to hallucinate. and if i do prompting manually it always takes significantly more time and efforts and high chances of prompt failure. Is there a way which is best of both worlds?

Introduction
Hey everyone, 👋 I’m Ashmit from India, currently a sophomore engineering student majoring in Computer Science. I’m completely new to the AI automation space, but I’ve recently developed a strong interest in this field. My goal is to learn, grow, and eventually start earning through AI. I’m ready to put in the hard work and stay consistent, even though I’m starting from scratch. Right now, I’ve started learning n8n through Nate’s 8+ hour course to build a solid foundation. I’d really appreciate any guidance, resources, or advice from those of you who are already experienced in this space. What should I focus on in the beginning? Any mistakes I should avoid? Looking forward to learning from all of you 🙌

well, I also started my AI journey through one of nate's tutorial, and from my experience and learning from mistakes i can tell you that please DON'T!! practice with 100's of different workflows and templates. instead in the beginning only practice with the one's nate provided in the tutorial. The reason behind that is every workflow has its different approach of building. So first chose a niche you are interested in, understand the basics of that market and how can you implement AI in that market for better efficiency. Then plan out a couple of workflows with the potential to solve such problems. now make automations with the same plan and showcase them on your portfolio. now, all you have to do is to market your automations and after you got a client, you will tailor the premade workflows for the specific needs of your client. n8n has thousands of tools, most of them are designed and proven for a specific niche problem. so if you tried to learn every tool with the intention to making a very complex all-rounder workflows, it will only waste your most valuable time. because most of the time businesses only need simplest yet most efficient automations designed for there needs not the ones which your clients found difficult to understand. creating hundreds of workflows with different intentions is like practicing on a bike, car and plane to get a two wheeler driving license. Hope this helps. Good wishes!!!

@Ashmit Singh no, that video is a great starting point. but when you progress through the video, you'll get a number of workflows to practice. but what many people did wrong ( including me) is after the completion of video they try a whole lot of different workflows, like sometime they build workflow to manage CRM and after that they try to make a workflow to create or curate visual content. both niches require skills over different tools. so pick one niche focus on that. because when you'll go out to find clients you'll see the big players are not selling their workflows instead they are selling consultation to different businesses to solve their problem. so, surely master n8n but before that understand your chosen niche properly than pick specific tools to use in that niche and then master those tools. well that's my opinion. Good wishes!!!
