Outage Tracker - Need critiques
Good morning to all. Yesterday I built an outage tracker with info on grid stays, plant specific info, green means offline and contractor work needed. Red means online and no contractor work needed. Yellow means soon to be outage as in next season or coming soon. The data is not all correct yet as you will find out when you check this out but I would like critiques to see how you all feel about layout, UI, idea, and what other information or use cases you want to see in here. It’s a little confusing as to what the goal of the page is. Maybe some filters that you can set like, company, min and max per diem and pay rates, positions available, UI weekly rate and number of weeks, travel allowance, bonuses. Kind of like Zillow where you search for houses. Assuming that’s attainable information. Having the outage schedule incorporated by company would be cool too, like select Westinghouse fall ‘26 and those plants pop up. Being able to see the filtered information in a list as well as on a map would be awesome as well.

Fall Outages - where are you headed?
Just curious to see where everyone is headed this fall outage season. I realize things can change last minute, but I’m curious where everyone is headed and if I’ll be working along side anyone new??? My answer is in the comments 😊

Advice from Vets on Picking First Outage
This is a message for the vets. I'm new and believe I'm ready for the FUN1, so will be scheduling soon. My question is how would you all pick your first outage, knowing what you know now? For instance, if you are new, would you pick BWR or PWR? Are some plants just more enjoyable than others? Is lodging easier to deal with at some vs others? Etc. Just want to know, hindsight being 20/20, what you'd do for your first outage if you could do it all over? Thank you in advance!

@Lyndsey Kratzner Sharon and @Michael Williams have both confirmed it’s 2000 hours to make SR, unless there’s some change in the field we haven’t heard about?

@Lyndsey Kratzner yeah Sharon was telling us about JRs that were exactly where we were in the training facility and they came back 1 year later and tested for Sr. Getting 2000 hrs in a year is tough, I think 4000 might be impossible 😂

Congrats to my fellow RP summer training graduates!
The first June class just concluded and I met a bunch of fellow Grid users there. Looks like we all passed and have become Task Qualified RP's! Feels good to finally achieve it after finding out about this job and pursuing it for around a year, including doing a full spring season of Decon edit: tips if you have a later class make sure you received 6 reach360 learning modules for rp 1-7 (5 will be missing as we don't do it yet). these are not really "classes", its more like you show up, review a module for up to an hour with Sharon, and then boom you're taking the test. it will be very hard to pass if you just show up without having thoroughly studied the reach360 lessons
