Amex Biz Plat ECs for NRAs
Help! I've been getting a juicy offer that I don't know if I can actually take. The offer: 15K MR on $4K spend, per employee card, max 5 ECs now require SSN to activate apparently per chat/phone reps. All say NRA ECs not possible without SSN Ironic bc as a primary card holder, I only needed passport, ITIN and proof of address. Something doesn't make sense. Is there a work around?

@Al K - sadly not. you will not be able to activate the emp cards without SSN Blog post Nov 25 https://dannydealguru.com/amex-now-requires-ssn-to-add-authorized-users/ Jan 26.. reddit alternative forms of validation no longer work https://www.reddit.com/r/ITIN/comments/1qn4pgy/amex_employee_cards_rejecting_itin_activation/

BofA automatic limit increase after ITIN added 1/2 year later
Had the secured Travel Rewards Card with 500 USD security opened seven months ago. Added the ITIN last week at branch and today surprisingly got an automatic limit increase to….. 700 USD with no additional deposit required 🤣 Still there is the 500 USD deposit (the banker said it usually takes a year to release the deposit and changes from secured to unsecured) Congratulations! Your credit limit has been increased. Because you've managed your credit wisely, the credit line on your account ending in xxx is being increased. What you need to know - Your total credit line has increased from $500.00 to $700. - Your cash credit line is $200. - Your account number is staying the same, so you can continue to use your current card(s). - There's no additional security deposit needed. - We'll periodically review your account and, based on your overall credit history (including your account with us and other credit cards and loans), you may qualify to have your security deposit returned. Not all customers will qualify.

CLI
Has anyone here successfully requested a CLI at anytime and was approved?

@Jane Jones - yes I've gotten CLI on personal amexs first by requesting (only 1 current open personal amex card).. Chase = I've gotten auto CLI Citi = auto CLI C1 = SD (but I did get a CLI by requesting first) Barclays = never tried BOA = will try at 6 mth mark (summer 2026).. (actively using close to 70%) but always paydown before closure..
