Experian Credit Score With Your ITIN (via Nav)
Most ITIN holders assume they can't see their Experian credit file online without a Social Security Number. You can. Sometimes. Shoutout to @momo for surfacing this method here first. Here's the updated standalone guide. Go to Nav.com, sign up for the free plan. You'll enter your name, DOB, address, and ITIN. Nav runs an Experian soft pull for identity verification and you're in immediately. If not, you can always retry. Once you're in, here's what Nav shows you: - VantageScore 3.0 from Experian - Score Factors - Payment History - Debt Usage - Credit Age - Account Mix - Debt vs Income - Hard Inquiries count - Current Address - Former Addresses Debt Usage drill-down: revolving credit limit, usage percentage, total revolving debt. Account Mix drill-down: split into mortgage, auto, revolving, and other accounts. Inquiries drill-down: total inquiries vs how many actually impact your score. Summary page: date of your first credit account, total balance across all accounts, total minimum monthly payments. Downloadable full report in PDF. This is genuinely useful if you're building US credit remotely and want to see where Experian has you — especially before applying for new cards. Now the caveats, because this matters. Nav's ITIN access for Experian is hit or miss. Some get through on the first try. Others don't, no matter what. If Nav doesn't work for you, alternatives exist: - Experian credit report by mail - Experian through Equifax Complete Premier - Experian FICO 9 through the Bilt app One more thing: VantageScore is not FICO. Almost all lenders pull FICO models when you apply. Nav's VantageScore 3.0 is directionally accurate, but don't treat a 720 VantageScore as a guarantee you'll get approved. Use it to track trends, not to predict underwriting decisions. If you try Nav with your ITIN - drop a comment below.

New Capital One Venture Business offer, up to 150,000 miles
Capital One just renamed Spark Miles to Venture Business, and Spark Miles Select to VentureOne Business. For Cloud Residents, the real update is not just the new name. The stronger part is the new Venture Business offer, the added annual credits, and a few early datapoints that make this one worth watching carefully before applying. Why this matters for Cloud Residents • This is more relevant for members who already have a real US business setup and are trying to expand business credit access from abroad • It does not look like a beginner-friendly move for most ITIN holders, because Capital One business approvals can still be selective Key details: • Venture Business keeps the USD 95 annual fee, and the first-year fee is no longer waived • Bonus is up to 150,000 miles, split as 75,000 after USD 7,500 in 3 months plus another 75,000 after USD 30,000 in 6 months • Adds a USD 50 annual Capital One Business Travel credit and up to USD 50 annual advertising or software credit • VentureOne Business keeps no annual fee and offers 50,000 miles after USD 4,500 in 3 months Useful comment signals: • One early datapoint reported a denial for too many active credit cards relative to business revenue, even with an EIN and an established business • Several commenters said reporting behavior matters a lot, especially if you do not want business spending affecting personal credit • One commenter believes Venture Business may now avoid reporting to personal credit, but people were still asking for stronger confirmation • Another useful reminder from comments: checking Capital One pre-approval first may help avoid wasting multiple hard pulls if denied Bottom line: If you already have a real US business profile and can handle the spend, Venture Business looks more interesting now than old Spark Miles. But for many Cloud Residents, the bigger question is still approval odds, reporting behavior, and whether Capital One will treat your profile kindly before you burn inquiries. Capital one quicksilver!
I’ve been using my card only for U.S. transactions so far. Now I’m planning to use it internationally, including in-store purchases. Has anyone used their card internationally in physical stores without any issues?
