@Scott Finch it all depends on how much of the pick you actually hold on to. I only use the very tip of the pick.

i wrote this during the Ice Storm of 2021... seemed appropriate ebow, delays, synth pedals, reverbs. getting unexpected sounds out of the acoustic guitar

What’s your biggest challenge learning guitar so far?
one huge challenge for me was making clean chord changes while staying in time. Specifically with some barre chords. Playing a song, you might hit trouble spots where you don't get to the next shape fast enough, so you drop the rhythm for a moment while resetting the fingering. I

It has been quite some time since I have been here. Life has thrown me a bit of curves. I have been struggling mentally with life and everything going on in the world. Job market has been hard. But I am still breathing and hopeful. Just wanted to say hello and missed you guys.
