Congrats to @Vicki D for being featured on DarynStrauss’ channel as an example of ā€˜a channel that is on a missionā€™šŸ¦¾ Vicki is on a mission so check her channel out if you haven’t yet🤩 It was such a thrill to see her channel pop upā€¼ļø Have you come across videos talking about this ā€˜show’ idea? What are your thoughts? I think about it and it’s what I think my weekly group livestream is that we are coming up to 1 year of filming every single week. We’ve got our 1 year celebration live coming up on April 24th USA time but I’m very proud of not missing a week that whole time of gathering friends to talk about our week or interviewing guests like @Fil Ladden Kevin Kolbe and Rob The Maritimer. I will put a post up closer to the date with a link to the live🄳 Do you think of the whole ā€˜YouTube audiences are showing signs of preferring ā€˜Shows’ than random videos here and there’?

Hi Everyone! šŸ‘‹
Hi all! I'm Kevin from Sydney, Australia. I've just joined the group so thought I'd say hi and introduce myself. I recently turned 60 and joined Skool at the end of Jan this year. Trying to find full-time work has been extremely frustrating and demoralizing - it's just incredible how ageist companies are, so Skool is now the route I'm going down. Since the beginning of March I have launched my community (Pattern Skool) and recently just created my YouTube channel. It's my first time creating videos and I'm learning the (many) ropes as I go. I am a self taught pattern designer (I can create designs you see on wallpaper, giftwrap, fabric, upholstery, etc.), and this is what my Skool community is based around - teaching beginners and creative hobbyists how to create patterns. The aim of my YouTube channel is to try and drive traffic to my Skool community, with a view to eventually making money with my community (being completely honest here!). I film tutorials for my channel on how to create patterns on an iPad using various applications. Anyway, that's a brief intro of myself. I look forward to exploring this community in the next few weeks.

Hey Kevin… hello and big welcome from over the Tasman! I think your idea is unique, at least I’ve not come across it on YT before! I have done a lot of art, including textile art and graphic design in my previous lives including some pattern… it is fascinating… I see patterns everywhere! I think the non AI approach is exciting !!! Do you remember the fun of when we first used programs like Coreldraw? Being able to copy and paste instead of tones of photocopies and cutting and pasting literally!!! Man that was so incredible… and ya know it wasn’t that long ago really… ok so 30 years lol! I am sure you will be able to come up with many unique angles for videos… I have ideas bombing my flu ridden brain already if you ever wanna brainstorm… ! This group is the best most warm, loving, encouraging group I have ever found. The coffee chats are a great way of connecting… even though I have missed several lately, I go live them. And there are some brilliant YouTube creators here with so much knowledge between them, from their own experiences which they love to share! I think a really interesting collab for you maybe a chat with @John Charette who has a channel about AI…showing the two sides… all respectful of course… so many people are not aware of what it means to artists etc. Anyway I ramble and go off on tangents and get very excited about things as you can see. Consider yourself thoroughly welcomed! Bobby

@Kevin Brackley well I think we could just have a later coffee chat, like a second one… I dud mention it last week as the early morning one isn’t great for be as it’s quite a busy time at my place and of course you are : hours behind us… well I think you are… do you change your clicks there? Yay for your energy and video list… I have all the ideas but currently zero energy due to burnout and lurgy.
Such a great message...
I was on YouTube earlier and this TED talk appeared in the sidebar., Because I have never liked photos of me I watched the video. Just after the ten minute mark, Teri had me close to tears. Even of you have no issues with how you appear on video or in photos, this short talk, especially from 10 minutes on, is really worth the watch time!

@Karen Taylor Absolutely... the bit that really grabbed me was when she got everyone doung the experiement and asked which image they preferred, and then told us that the least popular image is the angle that our kids and pets who love us see us. It made me cry! Then the part about 2 images seconds apart, and what actually changed about you ? Nothing, not one single thing... brilliant. I love this amazing person. Their energy is just wonderful!
