Can you spare a virtual hug
In need of a lift today, from this lovely community whilst I navigate some family challenge. No matter how much Zen wisdom some days just suck and today is one of them! ‘Let go or be dragged’ is a Zen proverb. And so whilst I feel the pain, I remain anchor in the present moment, knowing that emotions are just like the clouds, they come and go and never stay the same. Thank you folks

Thank you, basking in virtual hugs, a sign that human connection travels the ether and that as Jenny said there is always someone out there looking out for you even if it’s a stranger. We are stronger as a pack! Difficult week but Zen practice keeps me grounded and shine the light inwards! 🧘🏻‍♀️

@Jenny Jarvis always harder on ourselves ✔️ having the expert syndrome we can’t falter ✔️ I was so stuck that hugs were never my thing now I gladly dispense and receive them! Yay for human connection 💪🏻
Who is going to be the February one??
Chuffed to have received this through the post today from @Jenny Jarvis and @Matt Clutterham 🙌🏻 Surely one of you wants to snap up the pole position for February, and we are nearly half way through the month! What would engagement look like for you?

YOUR DAILY HQ POWERUP MESSAGE
I’m going to feel… I heard this the other day on tv and for some reason, it stood out more than all the other millions of time I’ve heard this phrase. There are several variations of this, all guessing at an unsupportive emotion When I go on stage I’m going to be terrified I know I’m going to feel disappointed It’s going to be very upsetting I’ll be gutted when this happens All decisions made long before the event. Every time you catch yourself in this negative emotion loop, pause, remind yourself it’s a story you are telling yourself and either choose a more supportive emotion or remind yourself that it’s not real because it hasn’t happened and move on. Every time we play out negative emotions in our head before they even happen, our body doesn’t understand the difference between that and reality so it all gets stored in our body and we wonder why things play out exactly as we imagined.

I did this a lot, small things but often. Better self awareness and attention focused on the present moment (aka mindfulness) have paid off 💪🏻
Brutal honesty
My daughter wrote this note 10 years ago when she was 6. Not much changes after all. 🤣

I have collected a few of those too over the years and I am sure many more are yet to come 🤭 I saw your post on LinkedIn and made me smile on a week where my relationship with my daughter has been rather painful. Thank you
