Keys to coldcall
1. Smile: If necessary, stand in front of a mirror. You can tell when you're talking to a happy and energetic person, which makes them more likeable and sells more. 2. Walk: You release dopamine, it makes you happier, listening better, understanding better, memorizing better. 3. Set daily goals: Realistic ones that you can meet, 50 calls. Don't get bogged down with excuses, call and act. If you start thinking about it, you've already screwed up. 4. Prospect every time you can. 5. Record your progress: Specific and general. 6. Always end with a good call: If the last person is bitter, you won't feel like calling the next day. 7. Use a general script, do it in 10 minutes, use it, test it, fail with it, get nervous, don't be understood and modify it until you no longer need it, don't sound like a robot.

What do you mean by prospect everytime you can?

Like in between each call?
BANT
How do you guys creatively follow the BANT structure when you cold call? I have to be able to do this however, I am not sure how to do this without explicitly saying 'What is your budget?' 'What would your timescale be?'

@Steven L. Similar to this, at my company we cold call and concentrate on the N of BANT so the need. if we get to Discovery call we then qualify under bant for it to be an opportunity. moving forward the opp is qualified with the Meddpicc framework.
Is it okay to call US leads on Thanksgiving?
Hey guys, just hopped of a cold call with a prospect (from the US) and he told me off for calling him on Thanksgiving. Being from Europe myself, I completely forgot about that being today. I'm torn between "Thanksgiving" being an opportunity for them to pick up the phone but maybe it's overstepping. What do you guys think? P.S. If you're from the US especially, please let me know ahaha!

How much information have you got on your prospect before you dial?

a phone number, if they are a persona in my ICP thats the bare minimum for me
No answer on over 500 calls
I’ve been in sales for several years now, but I’ve only done warm calling (I worked as a Business Development Specialist and Account Manager for a property management company). I recently started a new position and made over 500 cold calls, but only 1-2 people picked up. With so few responses, I feel like I’m not getting enough opportunities to sharpen my skills. Is this normal, or is there something I should consider changing?

Are you buying leads or are you sourcing your leads yourself? Ive got experience with a previous manager buying leads who thought it be a better option than buying a dataservice like for instance cognism or zoominfo. I experienced very low connect rates with leads that are bought - weeks of making 100 calls a day with no connects. Much higher connect rate when prospecting your own leads, much much higher, in my experience!
